I have something for you to think about today, folks ...
Are ya feeling kind of ready to switch off and grab a little downtime?
After all, it’s almost the holiday season and let’s be honest ... nothing much happens at this time of year, right?? 🌲 I get that.
But what if - instead of stepping out - you leaned in?
What if you used these last few months of the year to make some serious progress in your businesses? 🤩
Today, I’m sharing ten different ways that you can lean in and see some real success in your business before the end of this year.
You’ll also learn:

  • The 3 bare minimum things that you must do before the end of this year.
  • How to spot the opportunities that are right under your nose.
  • How a simple, 3 email sequence can reconnect you with old clients (and boost your cash flow too!)
  • The ONE thing you MUST make space for in your calendar if you want to grow your business (... and an exciting way to take it up a notch this December!).

AND, I have something else cool to share with you today. :)
I’m kind of excited about this. I’ve bundled up some of my most popular practice development tools that you guys ask for all the time. Rather than wait for one here and there, you can grab them all right when you click here completely free of charge.
Who knows? One of those might be especially helpful here in Q4.
Folks, it’s easy to think that nothing much happens in November and December. But the truth is that this can be the ideal time for some small steps and micro-movements that really can change the trajectory of your business.
This year is not done yet, and neither are YOU.
Not even close!
So, give this one a listen. Because you can make big money and do great things in this final stretch.
(Speaking from experience!)
Enjoy!
~Wendy

DOORS ARE OPEN!
OnPurpose 2025© is HERE!

On FRIDAY, December 6, you have a rare opportunity to join your peers for a half-day, comprehensive online planning retreat for healers who want to grow their practice withpurpose , onpurpose in 2025.

For years, I’ve led my private coaching clients through a December planning exercise designed to take them much deeper than simple goal setting.

Using the 7 Pillars of an Ideal Practice (c) as our guide, we take a close look at what they’ve already accomplished, and where there’s room to grow. With lots of support and deep conversation, we explore and clarify their dreams for next year. Then, with specific targets and goals in hand, we map out a plan for implementation.

In just a few hours, they move from vision to intention to implementation, and it’s pretty exciting to see that coming alive for each of them.

Because by the time we finish, they have a roadmap for next year, and know EXACTLY where to focus as they grow their Ideal Practice.

These days, you, my friends, can join me for that very same experience. 💞

Well, Happy New Year, everyone! 🥳
As we say goodbye to the year that has been, and step forward into who we are becoming, I wanted to share a bit of inspiration with you.
(Someone special once shared this with me at a time when I really needed it, and I’ve been passing it along ever since.)
Here’s the thing.
If you’re going through some kind of challenge, or find yourself in the midst of some discomfort, it may be that things are just changing for you.
And maybe that’s actually a good thing.
But even if that’s the case - we don’t always like it so much.
Because we can see that the old way is coming to an end, but the new way isn’t quite clear yet .
And we don’t like that so much either - so we move into action. Or distraction. Or anything we can do to get past that in-between time of not knowing...
Don’t do that. 🛑
Be present with the discomfort of change for a while.
You need that before you can grow into the next stage - and the little gift that I have for you today will explain what I mean. :)
I hope it brings you the same comfort and guidance that it’s brought to me many, many times over the years. (And if it resonates, I’ll tell you how to download a copy of your own so that you can call on it anytime you need it going forward.)
Wherever you are today, I hope you are being kind to yourself, and I hope that you’re surrounded by the people that you love.
I can’t wait to catch up with you again in the new year.
Here’s to what’s next! 🥂
~Wendy
P.S. What changes are you in the middle of??? Hit reply or shoot me an email and share your story. I’d love to hear. Thank you! 🙏

Today, my friends, we’re diving into something really important ... how to lay the foundation for a thriving, successful, sustainable private practice.

If you’ve been doing this for a while, you already know that success isn’t just about getting more clients. It’s about building a practice that actually works for you ... one that aligns with your values, your goals, and your life.

So that’s exactly what we’re going to talk about today, and also in next week's episode too, so you don’t want to miss that one either!

When I coach private practice owners, I repeatedly bring them back to the seven fundamental pillars that everyone needs to have to run a successful private practice. In today's episode, we're taking a closer look at the first three:

PurposeWhy are you doing this? What’s the deeper reason that drives you, not just as a healer but as a business owner?

PeopleWho do you absolutely love working with? Which clients light you up so much you wish you had a whole day of people Just Like That?

Product What are you actually offering (beyond your basic service)? And does that align with what you want to be doing?

In this episode, you’ll learn:

  • How to make sure you’re building a practice that you love (not just one that you tolerate 😒).
  • The one thing that will set you apart from the rest of your field (and how to get your hands on a free worksheet that will help you to clarify it).
  • The one essential pillar that supports the rest of your business (... because you can’t have a business without this one thing, folks!).

I’m so passionate about this way of looking at your practice for a reason. After decades of experience, I know first hand that when you do the work to implement these pillars into your practice, you will have the energy to do the kind of work that fills your soul. 🥰

So give this one a listen, because we’re laying the foundation for your future success. Next week, I'll see you back here next week when we dig into the operational side of your practice with the next three pillars.

Yum!

Can you believe it folks? We are HALFWAY through the year already! 😱
So how are things tracking for you?
How are you doing with the goals you set back at the beginning of the year? Have you accomplished some of them? All of them? None of them?
Or - maybe some of those goals don’t quite fit anymore, because things have changed. No worries. It happens.
And - that’s why this is the perfect time for a little midyear review.
Fall season will be busy - so now is an ideal time to think about getting organized and giving your systems an update. And one of the best ways to do this is by finding the right tools.
Today I’m sharing my favorites with you. After countless hours of research and road testing, these invaluable tools save me time and money, prevent stress, and keep my business humming along beautifully.
You might want to take notes, 😎 because in this episode, you’ll learn ...

  • The exact tools that I use to run my practice, AND precisely how I use them.
  • The tool I use to create a frictionless experience for my clients.
  • A free tool that lets you work and collaborate with anybody.
  • The one tool that automates 90% of my work around course creation and group coaching (and a cheaper, simpler alternative if you’re not ready for all the bells and whistles).
  • My favorite tool for project management (and why it’s not for everybody).
  • Why I have one space for working, and another for storing critical files.

And more!
But wait a minute ... what if you’re less technical and more old school? What if you’re more analog than digital? 🤔
Fear not, my friend! I’ve got you covered too ...
I’m also sharing some of my favorite notebooks, along with the processes that I use to brainstorm, mind map, capture my thoughts, and organize my lists.
Because, as much as I love tech tools, sometimes you really need to write it down.
(#Fact: our brains absorb and retain information differently when we physically put pen to paper).
So, let’s get you organized.
If you’re not quite sure where to start, take a look at my IP 360 Scorecard. This free assessment tool will take about 10 minutes of your time and give you a complete overview of your business, including where you’re winning and where you might need some help.
And if you have any questions at all for me like, ʺhow do I do this?", or ʺwhich tool can help me with that?", hit me up on Facebook, y’all. I’m always happy to help.
Now, for your first task: give this one a listen!

P.S. If you're enjoying the podcast as much as I hope you are, could you help me spread the word? Do you have 2 friends or colleagues who could really use a boost of encouragement each week? Please share this episode with them - and thank you!

So, hey, that whole ‘word of the year‘ thing ... Do you do that? Did you pick out a Word to guide you through the year??

And now for some real talk .... Do you remember what it was??

If you answered “no“, you’re not alone. That’s why we’re going to talk about choosing your word of the year today - because I know you. And I know that - by the time we get to February - there’s a good chance you’ve already lost touch with the true power...

...of a single word.

Choosing your word of the year is such a powerful process and one that can (and should) push you in new directions.

In fact, when you follow this process with intention, don’t be surprised if it lands you in a very, very different place than you were expecting. 😬

Today I’ll share with you the exact process that I use to find the word that’s meant for me each year.

It’s a process that was created by one of my favorite coaches, Christine Kane. And it’s what I’ve been using for the last 10 years to chart my course each year.

Because it always forces me to grow in ways I didn’t realize I needed to.

I think you’ll love this, so get ready to take some notes because you’re about to learn:

  • Why the first word you choose probably isn’t the right one (and the 5 rules to follow when choosing your word).
  • One key question to ask yourself before you decide on your word.
  • How to know when you’ve found the right one. 🥰
  • The most important steps to take AFTER choosing your word. Whooo boy...

Spoiler alert, my friends ... done right, this will push your buttons, it will send you in uncomfortable directions, and your journey probably won’t look like you expect it to.

BUT, when you choose your word of the year with clarity and intention, you will be amazed by the growth that happens in your life and in your business.

So, even if you feel like you’ve found your word for 2025 already, I encourage you to try this process and make sure that you’re on the right track.

I’m excited about what’s possible for you, and I want you to achieve all that you dream of in 2025. This will help. Do yourself a favor and set aside some time to get real clarity on the word of the year that’s truly right for you at this moment in time.

I don’t think you’ll be sorry.
~Wendy
xoxo

P.S. Hey people! You’re telling me how much you love the podcast, and I so appreciate that! But have you left a review yet?? Your reviews help me find new listeners. Your words matter. So if you enjoyed this episode, please take a minute to share that 5 star review and a few words over on Apple Podcasts or even Spotify. Thanks!

In this episode of Ideal Practice, I’m digging into the importance of investing in your private practice and yourself as a healing arts professional and business owner.

We just don’t think this way as healers - but we need to.

So I want to talk about how investing in your business is such a key factor in building a strong foundation for your long-term success. It’s made a huge difference for me (more about that next week!) and it will for you too.

I’m sure of it.

In this episode, you’ll learn:

  • How to tell the difference between a business expense and an investment
  • How to think about managing both
  • Key questions to ask yourself when you’re trying to make financial decisions in your practice.
  • Ultimately, what your business needs from you to thrive.

Join me to discover the bottom line on why investing in your private practice and yourself truly matters.

In last year's cohort of EVOLVE, the group coaching and mastermind that I offer once a year, we spent an entire month talking about nothing other than our relationship to money and its impact on our practice.
Students later told me that this was one of the most powerful segments of their journey through the program - and I wasn't surprised.
Understanding your personal money story is critical to your success in every way. So, today I want to share some of what they experienced with you.
In this episode, I’m going to walk you through a series of questions to guide you as you reflect on your relationship to money.
We'll explore what you’ve learned over time, what beliefs may have been created as a result, and how this might be impacting your success today. But to make the most of this episode, you have to engage with it.
What do I mean by that?
I mean stop the audio after each question. Spend some time with your journal and your thoughts, your memories and your observations. You'll learn so much more from this if you actually implement what I suggest here.
And then, let's rewrite those old stories for something better - something MUCH better.
Give it a listen...
~Wendy

P.S. HEADS UP, Y'ALL : If the deeper work that this kind of reflection brings appeals to you, or if you just find yourself struck by how much there is to learn as you grow your own Ideal Practice, consider joining us in this year's EVOLVE mastermind. Doors open for a few more days only.

Hey guys! Today is kind of special...!!
It’s our 100th episode of the Ideal Practice© podcast, y’all!!
Woot!! 🥳🎉
And I so want to thank all of you all for hanging right with me all along - because together we are building a community, and that is also really special.
Through the course of producing a full 100 episodes, we’ve covered alot of ground. We've talked about everything from how to create better systems, how to have more impact on the world, how to increase your income, and so, SO much more!
So, in honor of this milestone, I wanted to take a look back at some of our most popular episodes. And - as it turns out, our top ten episodes all share a common theme.... growth on purpose.
Each of our most popular episodes tackled different aspects of growing with intention, and growing a practice by getting clear on your desired outcome.
And folks, today’s episode has turned out to be a goldmine, packed with valuable insights and actionable steps.
It's like a mini-masterclass on growing your very own ideal practice!
So let's take a look back at the key lessons and takeaways from our top 10 episodes of the podcast so far. 👇
In this special episode, you’ll hear...

  • How to define what an ideal practice looks like to you (and only you).
  • Why the law of attraction works, but visualization alone never will.
  • The roles that a VA can play in your business (and the one role they can never fill).
  • The questions that you need to answer before you hire a VA.
  • Why the thing that you’re most afraid of could be the key to your biggest breakthrough yet.
  • Why your marketing needs to attract and repel (honestly!).
  • And finally - the key to breaking your limiting beliefs (and the tool that can help you do it).

Goodness - I can’t believe we’ve made it this far. And what a treat it has been to go back and revisit these fantastic conversations with these awesome guests!
I hope you enjoy this as much as I have. 🥰
I want to thank you, once again, for being here with me on this journey. I’m so happy to have you here as part of this community because I have seen personally what a difference it makes when you step into your value, when you own your authority, and when you get clear about the incredible difference that you make in the world.
Here’s to continuing our journey together.
I can’t wait to share many more conversations with you, as you evolve and grow (with intention!) toward your own Ideal Practice(c)!
~Wendy

Returning to the podcast after a longer-than-expected mid-winter break, I’m excited to share with you guys some of what I’ve been up to, a decision I’ve made, and where the podcast (and my practice) is going from here.

While we’re at it, I also have a few thoughts about how to navigate the intense energy that’s present in our lives right now, especially here in the U.S.

So give this one a listen, and let me know if you have any suggestions to add for how we can all stay centered and grounded in what feels like a pretty tough time.

Oh - because one of you asked for specific help, I’m also offering a specific tool to help you start thinking through one of the foundational aspects of any successful private practice.

Why do you want to start a practice at all? And what do you want it to do for you?

I’ll explain more about that - and how to get your own copy if you’d like that -in the episode.

Join me.

P.S. Missed me? I've missed you TOOOOO! Drop a note in the text link that you'll find at the top of this page and tell me what you’ve been up to! I’ll respond in the next episode! :)_______________
