I see the good in people and would do anything for them, but I feel most of the time that I don’t get equal the amount of love back. At times I have felt that I am lesser than. I need help with something. I struggle in most areas of my life, money and relationships being the two biggest. I know a lot of people struggle with this as well, but I feel my issues may stem from somewhere less common. I've mentioned this to therapists and coaches before but they usually just tell me that it's not logical. I know it's not, but it feels real. When I try to move forward in my life, whether it's career-wise or relationship-wise, I feel like I'm going to lose my family. Sometimes I feel like they would be devastated if I were successful. But a lot of the time I feel like they would die. I know this sounds crazy but that's how it feels. Have any advice for me? How can I break through this? It's completely stunting my life. In the past three years I have quit my job, broke things off with someone I have been with for over 8 years, and moved across the country. I started to notice that most of my relationships weren’t healthy, and it was time to move on. Now I’m single at 40, surrounded by family I’ve been estranged from, and living in suburban DC.
