PROLOGUE

Oral sex is one of the safest acts of sex between two people. There is absolutely no risk of pregnancy when a couple engages in pleasing each other orally. Bringing your partner to a satisfying climax is enjoyable for both the giver and the receiver. And for those of us who are sexual ‘submissives’, we are often called upon to orally please our Sir or Madam, or even other people.

The human tongue is actually the largest muscle in your body. It aids in chewing and digestion, speaking and breathing. Your tongue runs from your hyoid bone (in the middle of your neck) to the floor of your mouth.

Taste buds are clusters of nerve cells that send sensory messages to your brain for five different tastes: sweet, salty, bitter, sour and savory. Although people think that different areas of the tongue taste different things, that is not true. All taste buds can detect the five tastes, but some are more sensitive towards certain tastes.

In total, the human tongue has from 2,000 to 8,000 taste buds. Each bud has 50 to 100 taste gustatory hairs, or receptors. These receptors pick up different chemicals and send a signal the brain that it has a particular nutrient in it that is either good or bad for the body.

There is perhaps no greater point of contention than the G-spot. Does it exist? Is it just a myth? How does it work? What do I do with it when, or if, I find it? I'll try to address these questions, however I must admit to being a late member to the G-spot camp. Like many men in their early years, my focus wasn't always as attuned to my lover's needs as it should have been. Let's face it guys, it is pretty damn obvious when we have an orgasm. Women vary. Some can be very subtle while others act as if they are possessed. Men, as a rule, heat up faster than women. If we aren't patient, we get there before she does. To stroke our egos, many women will fake an orgasm then. Unless you know your lover well, it can be difficult to detect if she is faking. I believe I know when a woman has faked it, but I have no doubts that I have missed a few imposters along the way. There is no faking when a man cums. There is a mess everywhere! I had been sexually active for a good number of years before I became truly aware of the power of the G-spot. I'll share what I know, but I don't have the same depth of research to draw on with this topic.
So where is this so called "G-spot?"
Just like the clit, it can vary a bit in position from woman to woman, but generally it is on the front wall of her cunt, about 1 to 2 knuckles in. That is not to say that is the only place she gets stimulation. Our understanding of how a woman is stimulated and attains orgasm has been somewhat of a mystery. However, recent studies suggest that the clit and the G-spot, along with other tissue in the vagina, are interconnected by a system of nerves. I have had partners say they can sometimes feel stimulated on their clit when I am rubbing their G-spot, so I believe this to be correct. Those nerves run along and around the vagina. However the largest concentration by far is in the clit. If you want to be sure your woman cums, the clit is the way to go. Some women can orgasm from penetration, but the percentage is small. Those women likely have more nerves in their vagina and receive enough stimulation that way. Another reason might be that during sex, the penis is rubbing the G-spot just right and causes enough stimulation for orgasm.
You might be asking if every woman has a G-spot or can cum from stimulation to her G-spot. I'm afraid I cannot answer that question. As I mentioned, my knowledge of the G-spot came later in my sexual experiences. I can say that once I started paying attention, I have found that every partner I've been with has had one. Some are more sensitive than others. I know that sounds like a broken record that every woman is different, but that can't be stressed enough. I'll repeat what I have often said. Communication and exploration are key. Talk to your partner as you explore. Let her tell you what she is feeling. If you aren't comfortable enough to have a conversation like that during sex, maybe you should rethink if you are comfortable enough to be having sex. I'm not saying a one night stand doesn't have an appeal, but even then, if you are only hooking up to fuck, shouldn't you try to make the fucking better? Just saying.
We know where the G-spot is generally located. So when should we go looking for it? Great question! Just as the clit is easier to find once a woman is aroused, the same applies here, and even more so. If you put a finger inside her within a few minutes of making your move, you may not feel much difference. Likewise, neither will she. Things need to be warmed up for the search to be fruitful. The other day, a few media outlets in the New York region covered the story of a woman who can’t seem to stop having orgasms, which would seem joke-ready but can actually be a nightmare.
Doctor Brian Alexander files this assessment;
While the New Jersey woman’s condition has not been formally diagnosed, it appears she has persistent genital arousal disorder (P G A D), something we explored years ago.
The syndrome usually manifests as a constant blood engorgement of the female genitals, mainly the clitoris. This creates a sensation of needing “relief.” Cue the jokes. But imagine constantly sensing the need for orgasm at work, on the bus, while visiting with friends, and then finding no relief, or only very temporary relief, if you masturbate. Genitals can become highly sensitive, and sore. Sufferers describe feelings of isolation and mental anguish.
Unfortunately, nobody is quite sure what causes it or how to treat it, but, according to Jim Pfaus, a researcher at Montreal’s Concordia University who studies the neuroscience of sexual response, and who is currently engaged in studying persistent genital arousal, there are enough clues to develop a working theory.
“The root cause,” he explained, “may be an irritation of the clitoral sensory nerves.” The brain interprets this sensation and sets off a cascade of events.
If you want to incur the rage of a woman in this condition, even the slightest suggestion comparing her to a nymphomaniac, could result in you likely getting beaten up and humiliated.
She didn’t ask for this, and she detests its imposition almost as much as sexual assault. A woman wants to be a willing participant. Offer her whatever help she asks for, but it may be for you to get the hell out of here, especially if she usually has some attraction to you, and is now confused by her physically-aroused state.
A brain region called the pro-optic area responds to dopamine signaling by sending out instructions for the body to prepare for sex, as if a woman has been engaged in foreplay when, in fact, she’s not remotely in a sexual context. Blood flows to the genitals. “So we think that this blood flow is in a state of hyperarousal in women with P G A D,” Pfaus said. “They get engorgement quickly, reach orgasm quickly when they try to relieve themselves. It shares features with premature ejaculation and priapism” in men.
That’s consistent with observations others have made. For example, Barry Komisaruk at Rutgers University found that of a group of 18 women with P G A D, 12 had cysts on nerves in the sacral region of their spines. The cysts may be stimulating clitoral nerves.
A variety of drug therapies (there’s even one report of a physical therapy involving manipulation of muscles in the region) have shown to help. SSRIs, commonly used for depression, seem to provide some relief. But Pfaus believes the drug varenicline (Chantix, commonly used for smoking cessation) is most promising. It works by interrupting the signaling that leads to dopamine release. Blood stops flowing.
While the therapy has worked in scores of women, Pfaus said, the drug isn’t perfect. “Unfortunately it comes back when they go off it.”
