The Power of Praise Will Change Your Life
11/22/23 • 7 min
Praise transform our lives, opening our hearts to healing and deepening our relationship with our Heavenly Father. Today I highlight some of my favorite bible verses about praise including the one used by almost every high school graduate as their "favorite verse".
Find out how the simple act of expressing gratitude can foster a deeper connection with God, filling the voids in our hearts and serving as a beacon of peace in our lives. Learn to incorporate thanksgiving into your everyday routine, whether through heartfelt words, soul-stirring songs, acts of kindness, or silent prayers.
If addiction, illness or loss left you with holes in your heart, today we find ways to heal and fill those places. I hope you love it.
Psalm 28: 6-7
Psalm 100: 4
1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18
Philippians 4: 6-7
Hebrew 13: 15

Is Addiction Your Idol? | Putting God Back Where He Belongs
Today we talk about idols. Has your addiction, your drug of choice, become your idol? There was a time that my 'thing', my addiction had become an idol in my life - an entity that commanded my thoughts, actions, and desires, and superseded my relationship with God.
We'll explore some scriptures that discuss idols, some that guided me through recovery, and how their insightful interpretation applies to addiction.
We need to put God where he belongs: first in our hearts and lives. He should be the only idol we have.
