This week I have two very special guests from The Honestly Unfiltered podcast, Jeni and Ellie, on with me to discuss the riveting series Dopesick. This show is inspired by the true story of how America got hooked on a lie. We are dropped in the epicenter of America's struggle with the opioid addiction. We discussed what parts from the show were tough to watch, how addiction has influenced our lives and our families, and overall what the show meant to us. This discussion was one of my favorites I've done on the podcast so far, and I hope you all will enjoy! This episode is ALL about The Summer I Turned Pretty!! I've been excited to do this spoiler episode and absolutely had to feature my friend Lami, from the Crossing Stars Podcast, in this episode. We bonded over how much we loved and connected to this series. The Summer I Turned Pretty was first a book written by Jenny Han, and then adapted into a TV series for Amazon Prime Video. The plot follows Belly, and the love triangle she creates with Conrad and Jeremiah Fisher. It's a story about first love, first heartbreak, and the magic of that one perfect summer. I found many connections to my younger self in this film- it takes you back to your teenage years and really helps you connect with these characters. Welcome back to Get Your Binge On! After taking a much needed mental health break and after soaking up a month of family time- I'm back with a brand new episode. Not only that, but I've refreshed the Get Your Binge On podcast brand and I'm eager to hear your thoughts on it. The first part of the episode I go into how 2023 will bring a new flavor of the podcast, and then I'm bringing you a feature episode on the film Good Luck to You, Leo Grande. This film follows Nancy Stokes, a retired school teacher, who is yearning for some adventure, and some sex. She has a plan, which involves hiring a young sex worker named Leo Grande. This 2022 film has been flying under the radar, and I discovered it through Emma Thompson's(who plays Nancy) many interviews surrounding her role and the taboo culture around female pleasure. This film also stars Daryl McCormack who is extremely talented, and quite a looker too! I hope you enjoy this episode and learning all about the movie that warmed my heart and soul and really opens up the discussion around sex and the human need for pleasure. Enjoy!!

What We Do in the Shadows shows a look into the daily(or rather nightly) lives of four vampires, who've lived together for over 100 years, on Staten Island. This show is the perfect mixture of comedy, fantasy, and the horror of vampire life. It makes me laugh out loud, which is typically difficult to do! My friend, and boss babe, Hannah Mills-Ernest, joined me for this hilarious discussion. She owns Miss Daisy's Boutique which specializes in natural soy candles, body care products, and pet care products. We enjoyed every second of this deep dive into season one.
