His impressive list of film credits include 'The Incredible Hulk', '300' and 'Avatar', but he has also featured in some stand out TV performances. On 'Spartacus' he played Doctore/Oenomaus, he appeared in 'True Blood' as Kibwe, and most recently starred in 'Sleepy Hollow' as The Hidden One. Now he returns to our screens in 'Midnight, Texas', which airs on Syfy UK from Thursday, 27th July 2017 at 9pm.Based on the novel series by True Blood's Charlaine Harris, 'Midnight, Texas' stars François Arnaud ('The Borgias') as Manfred, a charming, powerful psychic who can communicate with spirits and finds safety in the small town of Midnight, Texas. There he finds himself surrounding with both human and supernatural allies, who band together to fight off outside pressures from ever-suspicious cops, deadly biker gangs, and their own dangerous pasts. Peter plays the role of Lemuel, a wise vampire with a long history in the town.

Geektown Radio 123: Cinematographer Mathias Herndl, UK TV News & UK TV Air Date Info!

As we head further into a glorious Summer, we are back this week with co-host Andrew, to talk about all the latest tv & film news, and a brand new interview with the brilliant Cinematographer, Mathias Herndl.Having started as a child actor, it seems Mathias has always been destined to work in film, but it was stumbling across an old Bolex 16mm camera in his father’s basement at the age of 5 which really set his imagination alight. Ever since those early days, it seems a camera has never left his hand. He’s worked as the cinematographer on Sean Bean’s ‘Legends’, ‘Witches of East End’, ‘Flashpoint’, 'Wayward Pines', 'Motive' and, most recently, ‘Genius’.‘Genius’ was National Geographic's first steps into scripted drama might have seemed like a big gamble, but it was one that paid off, big time, as it’s just been nominated for 10 Emmys in this year's awards. We had a chance for a little chat with Mathias about how he created the unique look for the series, and working with the series exec producer and director, Ron Howard. Also On This Week's Show:Andrew returns as co-host, so we catch up with the tv shows & films we've been watching, including 'Man In The High Castle', 'Colony', 'Suits', 'How To Get Away With Murder', the new Doctor in 'Doctor Who', and of course, 'Game Of Thrones'.We take a look at all the latest tv & film news, including Disney's Live-Action Aladdin, some Flash Season 4 news, and Netflix's adaptation of 'The Umbrella Academy'.We give you our recommendations for upcoming TV in the next 7 days.

Geektown Radio 124: Production Designer Gary Kordan, UK TV News & UK TV Air Date Info!

After a few weeks off, we're back with our regular show to catch you up on all the latest TV news and air date info, plus an exclusive interview with the brilliant production designer, Gary Kordan! We first spoke to Gary around a year ago over Skype, but this time we actually got to speak in person at his lovely creative studio space ‘Muse’ in Studio City, LA. He’s the man behind the scenes for Amazon’s hugely popular kid's drama 'Just Add Magic', the brilliantly funny ‘Teachers’, which airs on Comedy Central UK, and also worked on Chris Hardwick's '@Midnight' and the hilarious 'Key and Peele'.We catch up with him with those current shows, plus a couple of new series yet to land in the UK. 'Nobodies', which comes from Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone, and is a sort of cross between Ricky Gervais’ 'Extras', and Matt LeBlanc’s 'Episodes'. I caught the 1st episode of the show in the US, and it’s brilliantly funny so I hope it makes it over here. He also is working on 'Ghosted', which is sort of X-Files meets Ghostbusters, that hasn’t aired either side of the Atlantic yet but looks like a fun show. Also On This Week's Show:Matt returns as co-host, so we catch up with the tv shows, films and games we've been watching & playing, including 'Game Of Thrones', 'The Good Place', 'How To Get Away With Murder', and Matt's 'Crash Bandicoot' addiction. We catch up with all the news from San Diego Comic-Con, and look at the latest tv & film news, including the DC Shows, the 'Ready Player One' trailer, and 'Supernatural'.We give you our recommendations for upcoming TV in the next 7 days.
