10: Implicit Bias: Working While Black Pt. 1
Full-Time Black Woman
02/23/20 • 30 min
Bias is inevitable, right? Everyone has a bias about something. It can be seen in many different aspects of our lives like applying for loans, shopping at the grocery store or even while at work. Some of the more obvious incidences are probably examples of explicit bias and prejudice. (Basically overt racism) However, we wanted to address the impact of implicit racial bias on the work environment and share some of our personal experiences with you all to promote discussion.
This is a 2-part episode. Join us as we jump in and out of how implicit bias has impacted our viewpoints of Corporate America.

9: Black, Pregnant Professional
Full-Time Black Woman
02/15/20 • 41 min
Bringing life into this world is a natural part of our existence. However, being a black, pregnant professional adds more stress to our already stressful lives. This topic hits close to home for Full-Time Black Woman, and we wanted to address it because we’re here for you before, during and after 9-5.
While in the workplace we handle gender and racial stresses on a daily basis, but as a black, pregnant and professional woman you have to level up in a way that our white counterparts do not.
Today, I’ll be interviewing Full-Time Black Woman’s Esha Belle on her experience as a black, pregnant professional.
This is the first part of our Black Maternity Series which will cover topics such as Building a Baby Bank, Managing Stress, Preparing for Postpartum and so much more.

8: Black, Female & Anxious
Full-Time Black Woman
02/09/20 • 37 min
Today we are going to discuss another transparent topic here for the FTBW, anxiety at the workplace. For those unfamiliar with anxiety, it is a mental health disorder characterized by intense, excessive and persistent worry and fear that are strong enough to interfere with one's daily activities. Some of the symptoms include fast heart rate, rapid breathing, sweating and feeling tired. You may have heard someone call it “the nerves.” Anxiety usually occurs in stressful situations such as the workplace.
Today, I’ll be interviewing Full-Time Black Woman’s Aleese Real on her experience of being black, female & anxious.
