Episode #3: 2023 Jeddah GP
03/20/23 • 40 min
After the inaugural Saudi GP, which included an irrelevant penalty for one driver brake checking another, and the 2022 GP including actual rockets falling from the sky mere kilometers from the track...what excitement did the 2023 Saudi GP bring? As it turns out, not much beyond the stewards once again proving they're inept. Alonso made it on to the podium, was booted off the podium, and then made it back on to the podium. Mercedes did better than expected, but all is not well as Russell refuses team orders. Ferrari underperforms, and once again fails at basic strategy. The mid-field is sorta interesting. One unnecessary safety car later, and we're talking about a yet another boring AF win for RBR, complete with Driver #1's father being a dickbag to Driver #2.

Episode #4: 2023 Australian GP
We're back in the land down under for what turned out to be a race of attrition--for viewers who had to stay up way past their bedtime, as well as for the drivers who managed to stay on track after THREE red flags. We discuss more questionable decisions by the stewards and wonder just how far F1 has drifted into "spectacle over sport" territory.
There are plenty of winner and losers to chat about. And we raise a toast to Bottas' mullet and porn stache.
We also ponder how both parts and entire cars land in the grandstands, why Bernie Ecclestone is still a racist little toad, and whether Seb Vettlel's "Miami Underwater GP" t-shirt was prophetic.
Last but not least, we do a roundup on the latest on a bunch of other race series that we're watching during "F1 Spring Break".
