FIERCE Mothers - 47. Rebelling Against the Norm

47. Rebelling Against the Norm

04/19/23 • 27 min

FIERCE Mothers
In this FIERCE Mothers Solo Session, Ugochi speaks with Oonah Jaja-Wachuku. Oonah is an educator, researcher, writer, and lifelong learner, a maverick person with collaborating dualities. She has multiple interests and pastimes. Her overarching aim is to bring positive and lasting change to the world, one person at a time. Today, we talk about women rebelling against the norm and how everyone has a part to play in God's story. As an educator, Oonah discussed how her crucial driver is to be a skilled enabler because that's what a teacher is, an enabler of people's dreams. We discussed what made Oonah decide to write her first book, and she explained how one should not shrink back because the world needs to hear what you have inside of you, even if it's one impacted person. Oonah's book, Girls and Women in the Bible, is available on Amazon. Oonah can be reached on Instagram at @oonahbutterfly. She can also be reached on Facebook at her page, also @oonahbutterfly.

undefined - 46. Leadership

46. Leadership

Leadership is the art of inspiring and motivating a group to achieve a common goal. Effective leadership requires communication, decision-making, empathy, and vision. A good leader can inspire people to do their best work and help a team reach its full potential.

There are many different leadership styles, and what works best for one person or situation may not work for another.

Leadership isn’t limited to politicians and C-suite executives. Anyone with a sphere of influence, whether family, friends, colleagues, or peers, is a leader.

In this FIERCE Mothers Solo Session, Ugochi speaks candidly from her perspective about what leadership is, what it isn’t, and how to root your leadership in your core values. Using stories from her own life, Ugochi shares some of the leadership lessons she’s learned and what qualities and characteristics have shaped her approach to leadership.
