Living Consciously; Pt 1
04/09/25 • 40 min
What if living consciously isn’t about fixing yourself—but finally listening to the you that never needed fixing?
In this two-part episode, QuantiMama’s Faark The Shoulds welcomes the wildly wonderful Jillian Rumble-Young from Rainbow OMG. Jillian is a biodynamic farmer, homeschooling mama, musician, plant whisperer, and balm maker extraordinaire—and if she had a business card, it would probably be compostable and smell like calendula.
Together, Jillian and QuantiMama Jodi dive into the fertile terrain of conscious living—not the kind you hashtag, but the kind that’s felt in your bones. Think: talking to your plants, bleeding into the soil, raising kids who can read lunar cycles better than textbooks, and dismantling the factory settings of modern life one seedling, salve, and soul truth at a time.
What if the land knows you by name?
What if parenting is less “expert advice” and more “deep listening, occasional snacks, and a good birth chart”?
What if pruning your trees is also about pruning your life?
This convo is equal parts reverent and disruptive, with new perspectives, deep remembering, and a few epic mic drops. It’s for anyone who suspects their houseplants are judging them—and might be right. BUT, probs not since plants are simply love with leaves.

This is the tip of the iceberg—and you’re not meant to navigate birth, parenting, or education alone. We’re here for the ones doing it differently.

Alchemising Education - It's My Life
It's Their Life; Are We Raising Kids to Trust Themselves?
Alright, Quantifolks—balls and all time. When did we start believing that our kids needed to be managed/guided/fixed instead of just trusted?
Somewhere along the way, we stopped seeing our children as whole beings and started treating them like projects—something to manage, shape, or perfect. We, parents, have the best intentions, of course. We want them to be happy, successful, thriving. But here’s the kicker: what if the very act of “guiding” them is steering them away from who they truly are?
A no-holds-barred look at the ways we—often unknowingly—condition our kids out of their truth. We explore the invisible weight of diagnosis culture, the unspoken pressure to fit in, and the ways we accidentally curate compliant adults instead of raising self-trusting, free-thinking humans. But it doesn’t have to be this way.
What if our kids don’t need to be managed, but witnessed?
What if, instead of control, we embraced collaboration, trust, and fostered deep connection?
What if the most powerful thing we can do as parents is get out of the way?
We’re unpacking all of it—why trust is the foundation of a thriving child, how to repair it when it’s been shaken, and the simple ways we can create a home where kids feel seen, heard, and empowered. And yes, there’s opportunity for some Bon Jovi karaoke in there too.
Tune in and reimagine what’s possible. Your child’s future isn’t about ticking boxes. It’s about helping them own their life, just as you do yours.

Alchemising Education - The Tipping Point
What if your tipping point wasn’t some grand, dramatic moment but just a small, uncomfortable nudge that forced you to question everything you thought you knew about schooling, life, and what’s truly important?
In this episode of Alchemising Education, QuantiMama Jodi and QuantiMama Kerri dive into those tipping point moments—the ones where everything you’ve been avoiding suddenly forces its way to the surface. It’s not always the big, obvious shifts; sometimes, it’s the quiet discomfort that makes you ask, Is this really the way it’s supposed to be?
Ever wondered what your tipping point might look like?
From a school uniform rule that seemed like the smallest thing (but felt like a massive overstep) to the realisation that they had the power to make different choices for their kids, QuantiMama Jodi and QuantiMama Kerri reflect on the moments that pushed them to question the very system they were living in. It's about seeing how those seemingly minor things can snowball into something that demands your attention.
What happens when you realise that you don’t have to go along with what everyone else is doing?
How do you step into discomfort when everything inside you wants to avoid it? And what if that’s exactly where growth happens?
It’s not about waiting for things to be perfect. It’s about embracing the discomfort and trusting that the magic happens when you step into the unknown.
Tune in for a conversation that’s part reflection, part disruption, and full of what ifs as Jodi and Kerri explore how the tipping point can be the first step towards creating a life and education that actually feels good.
It’s time to ask:
What’s your tipping point?
And what would it mean for you and your family?
