Why Responsibility may be more Important than Accountability
07/11/23 • 22 min
As professionals, it's easy to get caught up in the idea of accountability - the idea that we are answerable for our actions and their outcomes. However, I believe that it's just as important to focus on responsibility. Responsibility goes beyond simply being answerable for something. It's about taking ownership of a task or project, and being proactive in making sure it's done to the best of our abilities. When we take responsibility, we're not just doing something because we have to, but because we want to. We're invested in the outcome, and we're committed to doing whatever it takes to achieve success.

Empathy is incredibly important for leaders in leadership roles because it helps them connect with their team members on a deeper level. When leaders can understand and share the feelings of their employees, it creates a sense of trust and support within the team.
