Endless Endeavor with Greg Anderson

Endless Endeavor with Greg Anderson

Operation Podcast

What's up guys, my name is Greg Anderson, and after spending a decade in the Special Operations/Para-Military community and 14 overseas deployments, I pursued a new career in Law Enforcement with the interest in putting the deployment lifestyle behind me. In light of so many events in 2020 regarding law enforcement I decided to speak up on the behalf of the profession and it ultimately cost me my job, but because of this I’ve taken my life in a new direction and one of my pursuits is launching this podcast! The Endless Endeavor Podcasts was created with the understanding that life is a continuous and arduous journey. I’ve learned that the only way I can grow and develop as a human is maintaining an understanding that there is always a lot to learn and preserve a curiosity across a wide spectrum of interests. Through this journey of life I have had the honor to walk amongst giants and look forward to bringing our listeners quality content on a variety of topics. We will be delving into military operations, jiu jitsu and martial arts, liberty and freedom, tactical proficiency, health and wellness, overcoming depression and PTSD, leadership and team dynamics, parenting, law enforcement and so much more.

08/01/24 • 80 min

In Episode 215 I sit down with Sean McCormick to recap how the 5-day dry fast affected us both during and afterwards. We discuss in detail what the experience entailed and how we’ve felt in the days following, after reintroducing food and water. Again, the process of dry fasting is to abstain 100% from both foods and fluids. This was one of the most challenging weeks of my life and we go into great detail regarding how this fast challenged our minds and bodies in a manner that was unprecedented. Please enjoy episode 215 of the Endless Endeavor Podcast.

Episode 5 of the Endless Endeavor Podcast takes us down to New Orleans, Louisiana where I sat down with the owners of USA Carry and Concealed Nation; Luke McCoy and Brandon Curtis. We discussed all kinds of topics from concealed pistol carry, combat preparedness, fitness and health and of course jiu jitsu! Originally I was going to do an episode of their podcast and then we were going to record a separate episode for my podcast, but after the first take for their show it just felt “right". We touched on lots of topics and since their show is aired live we also took a few questions from listeners. After the show we all agreed that our first recording should be used for both Podcasts. I was also joined by my coach, multiple time jiu jitsu world champion Joao Assis who’s the owner of Electric Jiu Jitsu in Hunting Beach CA, and my good friend Greg Lapin who owns Vida Jiu Jitsu in Mandeville, Louisiana and is one of the best tactical firearms instructors you’re ever gonna meet.

In Episode 187 I sit down with my Ukes! What the fuck is an Uke? An uke is the partner I use while teaching jiu jitsu to show the technique. This may not sound like a special position but as someone who’s been teaching jiu jitsu for nearly a decade, I assure you it is! They have to be exceptionally well at technique themselves to give the perfect amount of pressure, resistance, base, and so on. They also must have a well-rounded game so they can be comfortable demonstrating techniques from all positions. It’s truly an under appreciated art and I’m blessed to have three exceptional ukes that are my regular go-to guys during class. I appreciate Zach, Skyler, and Jake taking the time to sit down and delve deep into jiu jitsu! So please enjoy episode 187 of the Endless Endeavor Podcast.

In Episode 137 I sit down once again with Joe Kent for round two. Kent and I served briefly together in 2nd Ranger Battalion before he went on to attend SFAS and become a Green Beret. Kent and his wife Shannon were both part of the Special Operations Community when she was tragically killed during an operation in Syria. With Kent suddenly becoming a single father to his 1 and 3-year-old sons, he decided he needed to put the military lifestyle behind him and chase a new endeavor. Kent has decided the best way he can continue to serve his nation is by running for Congress and bringing real-life experience, integrity, and honor back into American Politics. Joe was previously on Episode 37, exactly 100 episodes ago, and campaigned hard for the 2022 election. He narrowly lost and is already preparing for another run in 2024! Please enjoy episode 137 of the Endless Endeavor Podcast.

In episode 12 I sit down with my best friend on earth, Dr Brian Scheele. We’ve been best friends since we were little kids and he’s recently been on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. Brian has worked as an emergency room physician for the last several years and was recently assigned to a hospital in Queens, NY where he was overwhelmed with corona virus patients.

In a time where all the information regarding COVID seems to be politically motivated and agenda driven, I believe it is necessary for frontline workers to share their experiences and perspectives to help people have a clearer idea of what is taking place around the country. Episode 11 is a Q&A session with me (Greg). The entire reason the podcast platform has taken off is because people enjoy gathering information in long discussion format. In a world of media talking points and scrolling headlines, I believe people are enjoying hearing well thought out and articulated positions. As someone that is new to this industry, I believe it is important to stay connected to the people that enjoy listening to your ideas and perspectives. In this episode we talk about politics, policing, nutrition and of course Jiu Jitsu. This was my first Q&A and I plan on repeating this every ten episodes or so. Please enjoy episode 11 of the Endless Endeavor Podcast!

In Episode 191 I sit down with The Enlightened Neanderthals! That’s Mike Kozak, Jordan Krich and Tobin Foulke and the name of their podcast that they’ve been producing for a year now. All three of these men are members of the jiu jitsu academy and that’s how they connected initially before creating their podcast. As you probably know, Tobin and I served together as young Rangers and stayed homies ever since. Today is a fun episode, some drinks, some joints, even a pure tobacco cigarette! I love these men as brothers and really enjoyed a few hours of cutting loose, laughing, and talking shit! Please enjoy episode 191 of the Endless Endeavor Podcast.
