Employment Rights Online: The Podcast

Send us a text

HI Everyone

In this week’s episode, we’re looking at the issue of employers who pay your wages or salary late. We also take a look at your employment rights, and what you can do to challenge late payments.

When almost 5 out of 10 workers have had to deal with late payments during the life of their employment, this is an important topic that we need to talk about, as the cashflows of workers begin to feel the impact of the coming ‘cost of living’ rises.

What we hope you take away from this episode... is the confidence ... that if you are regularly being paid late or not being paid at all ... for work completed... there is a course of action you can take to challenge this treatment. Please don’t suffer in silence. If you need help with organising your thoughts or evidence into a complaint... you can download our Employment Rights Online checklist of 15 smart actions that you can use to help you challenge bullying, unfair and illegal treatment at work. You’ll also find the link to that download in the show notes for this episode.

Until next week

Have a great employment rights week

Hi Everyone

this week is national living wage and national minimum wage week... so in this week’s episode... we’re taking you through the new hourly pay rates. Simply put, every 1st of April of every year, the lowest paid workers in the UK receive a government pay rise straight into their pay packets, which the employer must pay.

The new rates are out now and we use this week’s episode to take you through them.

If you need help with organising your thoughts or evidence into a complaint... you can download our Employment Rights Online checklist of 15 smart actions that you can use to help you challenge bullying... unfair and illegal treatment at work. You’ll also find the link to that download in the show notes for this episode. We’ll also put a link to the ACAS service, where you can get advice about how you can claim any underpayment of wages owing to you.

Hi there

Last week we looked at the issue of workers who regularly receive their wages and salaries late or not at all. We also looked at the initial steps you can take if this happens to you.

In this week’s podcast episode, we want to focus on how a failure of your employer to pay your wages, becomes a complaint of constructive dismissal and what your next steps should be, if this happens to you.

What we hope you get out of this week’s episode is information you need to challenge your employer’s breach of your contract to pay you as agreed. Please don’t suffer in silence.

If you need help with organising your thoughts or evidence into a complaint, you can download our Employment Rights Online checklist of 15 smart actions that you can use to help you challenge bullying, unfair and illegal treatment at work. You’ll also find the link to that download and all our support links, at the bottom of the show notes where you’re listening to this podcast episode.
