Embrace It All! - The Benefits and Changes That Come From Being Intentionally Grateful

The Benefits and Changes That Come From Being Intentionally Grateful

Embrace It All!

As I was reading this past week on this subject of gratitude, I came across a passage that says, “In everthying give thanks for this is the will of God”. I believe that my life is a gift from God. All that I have and all that comes from Him.
After reading this, it got me thinking that maybe there is more to it than just recognizing and acknowledging the source of all our blessings. Maybe this is just part of it, and God, or the universe, whichever higher power you believe in, sees the bigger picture for us when it comes to being thankful and developing gratitude.
In this episode I discuss different studies that have shown the bigger picture of how intentionally expressing gratitude can not only benefit us, but change us. And this is what I think the bigger picture is.
Studies have shown that when we are practice intentional gratitude, we feel better mentally and emotionally, we see the world and others around us in a much more positive way, we tend to have better physical health, stronger relationships, and better resilience.
I will share 4 things with you that have helped me in becoming more intentionally grateful.
And as we enter the holiday season, don't forget to get on my calendar for a FREE coaching session so that you can create a drama free holiday.

How To Lean Into the Belief That Being Broken and Feeling Broken Can Be a Gift

Sometimes being human, with a mortal body can be pretty hard. Especially when that body breaks down, and you begin to feel broken. Feelings of frustration, resentment resistance, sadness, and even hopelessnes can start to take hold because we think this is not how it should be. I know, because that is how I felt and thought for so long.
Now It is my belief that this idea of being broken and feeling broken can actually be a gift if we allow it to be. On this episode we will discuss what being and feeling broken looks like, why we might feel frustrated and hopeless, and what we can do to actually turn that around in order to see the gifts we receive when we are broken.
In this episode you will learn:

  • The role resistance plays when we feel broken
  • How to turn that resitance into acceptance
  • What happens when we accept what is
  • The hidden gifts that appear when we are more accepting and open

Finding Joy in the Mid Season of Life with Jill Pack

As women, entering the mid season of our lives can bring up all kinds of emotions. For those who have dedicated the majority of their lives to raising a family, once their last child leaves home questions like "what do I do now?" "who am I, really?", and "where do I fit in?" are all too common. For years your purpose was clear, but now, not so much.
In today's episode I talk with Certified Life Coach, Jill Pack, who coaches women in the mid season of their lives to answer these questions, showing them that they truly do have a lot to offer in the mid season of their lives.
Jill shares this: " When I hit my 50’s I found myself entering a new season of life, empty nesting. I had spent almost three decades caring and serving others . Now that my role was changing, I began to wonder what my purpose was. I wondered if I even had anything to offer in this new phase in life. That is when I found life coaching. I have come to realize that life isn't over at 50. What I thought was a mid-life crisis was a mid-life awakening and it is awesome! Instead of believing life is over, I have embraced the beauty of living life to its fullest and the failure that comes with it. I am no longer afraid of failing because on the other side of it is learning and becoming more of who I want to be. I became a life coach specializing in helping women of faith create a life they love. I share tools and tips that help you manage your mind as you create more joyful connections with yourself, others, and God . I teach you how to create a life you love. One full of intention and purpose."
Jill and I discuss the little shifts she has made in her life that has led her to take one step at a time in discovering what is possible.
She will introduce the power of the pause, a concept she created to help us understand the important of taking the time to process our emotions, becoming clear on our why we do the things we do (our "why"), Protecting who we want to be by saying yes to those things that may push you out of your comfort zone in order to continue to grow and progress.
Jill is an amazing coach whose goal is to help other women of faith find the joy in the mid season of their life. She is definitely an example of what is possible. You can find more about Jill here: https://linktr.ee/seasons_coaching
