Who am I? The Search of my Authentic Self.

To be authentic or not to be... that is the question. But what the heck does that even mean? I am aware that I used to project a different version of myself to people depending on the situation. For example, I would act differently around certain friends, certain family members, and especially co-workers. I would pretend to be something I was not be it more confident, hard working, funny... This podcast is all about how I began to understand and learn about my true sense of “self”, and how this impacted me to connect with and live a more authentic life. I find that the most authentic people in the world have a strong sense of self, stay true to themselves and to their word, and have a strong connection to their inner voice. We all have that spirit, that energy, that love inside of us. So this week, I share how I found that love, and how I am able to confidently be guided by my intuition to live an authentic life that is true to me!

‘Til Death Do Us Part?

Today is the day that I open up about another chapter in my life that has shaped the person I have become. The chapter of my Marriage—which ultimately ended in Divorce. Divorce is such a hush hush, BIG no no, don’t talk about it, be ashamed, you’ve failed at life kind of topic in today’s society. Some religions shun you for breaking the vows, and people can be judgmental on this subject. I can understand that. I was one of those people. Until the time came for me to re-evaluate the life choices I had made, only to realize that the path I had chosen was not for me. Being married, feeling trapped by the institution of marriage, and living in peril was NOT who I am. This was NOT my dream. This was not my vision of a happy life. SO why was I continuing down that road?

It is interesting what happens when we hold onto a dream, or a belief, and hope that things will change and get better. It is interesting what happens when we don’t take responsibility for our own actions. This is not an easy thing to do! SO that is why I am telling this story, and sharing the lessons I have learned and implemented into my life today.
