I am a consultant specializing in India. My friends and clients call me "America's India Expert" And I love them calling me by this name!!! 26 January is the Republic Day which celebrates the date on which the Constitution of India came into force on 26 January 1950. As I have grown up in India I have beautiful memories of celebrating Republic Day in our School and University. I have attended many Republic day celebrations in India as well as in USA. The Republic Day is celebrated in the capital of India New Delhi at the Rajpath before the President of India and parades take place at the Rajpath, which are performed as a tribute to India. From1950, India has been hosting head of state or government of another country as the state guest of honor for Republic Day celebrations in New Delhi.
