You see and hear it everywhere, right? Thanks to meme culture, trauma seems to be a humorous way to justify why we are flawed. Everyone seems to have it, and it can be hard to discern if they mean they were abused, had a slightly overbearing parent, or had a hard time peeling an orange.
But what exactly is trauma? Can the validation of someone's trauma be measured by definitions or severity of symptoms? Let's chat about it.
