Bonus Episode - Eden Update
Curious Freedom with Kirsty Farrugia & friends
03/31/21 • 11 min
*Trigger warning - this episode talks about sexual exploitation, human trafficking and the current coup in Myanmar - this episode is not suitable for children*
This week we have a bonus episode for you. We are giving you a much needed update on This is Eden - the organisation we support. Back in November we spoke with Michelle from the Australian Team of This is Eden (please go back and listen to that episode it was very eye opening and powerful!) and she shared with us about the amazing work they do in Myanmar. Not sure if you have seen the news lately but the current situation in Myanmar is pretty horrific, so Amy checked in with some of the team over the weekend so we could update you all on the situation.
We also wanted to say a massive thank you to all of YOU!! Every time you book a session with our staff, buy a book, listen to an ad on the podcast or even join one of our courses, money from every single way you support us goes straight to Eden. So thank you a million times over!!
In this episode we:
● Share how much $$ we have already donated to Eden this financial year;
● Update you on what’s been happening in Myanmar and the training centre there that we support;
● Tell you all the ways that you are supporting Eden by supporting us;
● Remind you that every time you listen to the podcast and hear an ad, or book a decluttering session or support us in anyway you are also supporting freeing women and girls from sexual slavery;
● And so so so so much more...
We hope from this update we all realise that we CAN do something to help in this seemingly helpless situation.

Curious about What to do with Random Items
Curious Freedom with Kirsty Farrugia & friends
04/28/23 • 33 min
Have ever you got to the end of decluttering a space, stepped back to admire your handy work and then become filled with dread as you spy the pile of random bits and pieces next to you that you still need to find homes for?
Decluttering can be exhausting! Making so many decisions in a concentrated amount of time can be taxing, so it's no wonder something like this would feel like a kick in the ribs!
But what if there was a way to be able to deal with those random homeless leftovers and still keep that momentum and motivation?
In today's chat, Kirsty and Belinda give you solutions for dealing with those annoying random things AND give you 5 principles to follow so that next time you get your declutter on, you are equipped for whatever you come across.
In this episode we;

● Share tips from our team of Declutter Coaches;
● Discuss being intentional when finding homes for random items;
● Highlight the importance of storing things where it makes sense not where you think they should go;

Secrets of Professional Organisers
Curious Freedom with Kirsty Farrugia & friends
12/01/19 • 39 min
This December we wanted to again practice what we preach and have some white space in our lead ups to Christmas this year. We decided to showcase some of the podcast where we have been the guests!
In 2017 we recorded 5 episodes around Christmas themes, Schedules, Decorations, Gifts and Wrapping, Christmas Functions and Christmas holidays and we repeated these again last year so if you are wanting some tips and tricks for the Christmas season have a listen to episode 22 through to 26, we will link to them in the show notes.
This week we are giving you an episode of Slow Your Home Podcast, one of our favourite podcast! In this episode Brooke interviews Kirsty, just a few months after we started our own podcast. We love Brooke so much that we had her on to celebrate our 100th episode so make sure you go and listen to episode 100 & 101 as well (we will give you a link to those too in the show notes).
Kirsty shares with Brooke the misconception of decluttering being the solution to every problem when really it’s often just one of the steps in creating an intentional life. She shares her history of being a messaholic and how practising grace with yourself will help you to declutter. Brooke described it as ‘big, honest and vulnerable chat that definitely peels back a couple of onion layers around decluttering and professional organising’.
We know so many of our listeners have come to this podcast via Slow Your Home, so we hope you enjoy this conversation again with Brooke McAlary!
