Crime and Crime Again

In November 2012, 19-year-old Black transgender woman, Sage Smith, left her apartment for a planned date with a casual partner, but she never returned home. Phone records lead investigators to the man that Sage planned to meet that night, but when police attempted to bring him in for questioning, he fled the state, and has not been seen or heard from since.
No evidence has ever been found in connection with Sage Smith's disappearance.

Fawn Marie Mountain was 25 years old when she vanished from the home she shared with her longtime girlfriend in Claysburg, Pennsylvania. During the entirety of their relationship, Fawn suffered extensive emotional and physical abuse from her girlfriend.
In late November 2012, Fawn disappeared without a trace. At the time, Fawn had gone no-contact with her family, so it would be three years before her family even knew that she was a missing person.

Days later, she disappeared on her way to the airport to fly back home to Arizona. Two days after her disappearance, her suitcase was found with a broken wheel, discarded along the side of the road nearly sixty miles away from the airport where she was supposed to have departed from. Katelin is still missing today.
