Creating Social Impact Podcast with Kat Luckock
After 15 years of working in the oil and gas sector, Elizabeth realized the corporate ladder didn’t inspire her anymore. Last year, she and her husband decided to make a massive shift. They left their successful careers in engineering, moved to Wyoming from Texas, and Elizabeth became an online business manager and integrator. Today, Elizabeth helps small business owners create a business and lifestyle that is sustainable, prevents burnout, and prepares their business for growth or change. She encourages her clients not to fall into the trap of always needing expensive platform subscriptions, a big team, or a big budget to be successful. Instead, Elizabeth helps her clients streamline what they do with the intention of making it manageable, attainable, and realistic. Up until about six months ago, I didn’t even know what an OBM was. But I’ve actually worked with Elizabeth on the OBM and integrator side in preparing for maternity leave. She’s been incredible in helping me understand my vision and implementing systems and processes. I know there are so many social entrepreneurs out there that could really benefit from hiring an OBM or an integrator.
In this episode, we discuss:
  • What’s an OBM? What’s an integrator?
  • How Elizabeth went from engineer to OBM
  • Why growing your team is cost-effective
  • How an OBM can help you with your processes
  • The importance of prioritizing your to-do list
  • 3 ways to work with Elizabeth
“Hiring an OBM or an integrator allows you to clear that clutter out of your brain and hand it off to somebody who's likely more skilled at those tasks and can do them quicker and more efficiently. It makes everything run a little smoother.” - Elizabeth Broderick Follow and learn more about Elizabeth Broderick: W: tractionbusinesssolutions.com IG: @traction.business.solutions

S1 Ep80: Funding, Finding Clients and being consistently visible on social media

*This is a mini-training I did in my Facebook Group - The Impact Entrepreneurs Club. When I ask new community members, “What’s your biggest challenge right now?”, their answers range from finding clients to being consistent on social media. All too often, we put so much pressure on ourselves as social entrepreneurs. It can be so hard to know the right step to take, or how to be more effective in your mission to create social and environmental change. How can you generate more funds to make a greater impact? How can you make sure you're more visible online so your dream clients can find you? I know what it feels like to feel lost or unsure about which direction to take. That’s why I’m sharing a recent training I led in The Impact Entrepreneurs Club. The truth is, you’re not alone on this social entrepreneur journey. In this episode, I share tips for how to overcome common challenges faced by social enterprises and businesses. We’ll cover how to shift from grant funding to an income model, the key to finding your dream clients, and how to be consistent on social media. S1 Ep82: How to get started using FB Ads (even if you're not sure yet) with Liz Boer

With a background in corporate agencies, Liz Boer has worked with big-name brands like Ford Motor Company, Stitch Fix, and Bad Politics—brands moving millions of dollars every single day to drive their business through marketing. When she started working in sales, she realized there was a significant gap in the market. Female-owned businesses were struggling to position their brands, automate their businesses, and grow at scale.
Above all else, Liz believes in personal and financial freedom. For Liz, automating is the magic bullet to growing and scaling your business so you can create the life you want to live.
Organic marketing, however effective, is a slow churn. You can’t guarantee your audience will see your content, whether you have 15 or 15,000 followers. On the other hand, paid ads allow you to nearly guarantee your audience’s eyes will land on the post.
If you’re looking to automate your marketing and create more traffic, this is the podcast episode for you.
Full disclosure: Liz is my new Facebook Ads Manager. I’m so happy to have her on my team and I can’t wait for you to hear what she has to say about Facebook advertising and putting a piece of your marketing on autopilot.
In this episode, we discuss:

  • Making informed decisions with Instagram and Facebook data
  • Why organic isn’t the only way to drive traction
  • Where social entrepreneurs should start with FB Ads
  • Why measuring and understanding insights is crucial
  • The 3 components to focus on in your Ads
“It's automating our businesses, it's not having to work 80 hour work weeks to create this life and system that we are all really looking for. And Facebook ads becomes a way to automate our businesses”
- Liz Boer
