Hey Cosmic Cousins!

In my own tarot practice, I use music to awaken a deeper connection to my intuition. In honor of Beltane, I present to you a multi-media tarot meditation collaboration with two incredibly gifted artists, both from different mediums. Enjoy the music of Michael Anticoli (@michael.anticoli) paired with the art of Claire Burgess (@the.word.witch) from Fifth Spirit Tarot. How does the music deepen your connection to the tarot? Michael Anticoli is an incredible musician and is very prolific with his composing. He’s releasing an album for each of the four elements: Air, Water, Fire, and Earth. Michael always wanted to create his own Tarot deck, but he’s not as much as a visual artist as he is a sonic creator. So he thought to himself, "Why not make a sonic Tarot deck?" Michael is a Taurus Sun, Gemini Moon, Scorpio Rising, and he says this about his work, “This is a meditation, a journey, the fruits of investigating my own inner archetypes, my own stories, my own experiences. Not having lyrics attached to the work helps others listen to it and paint their own stories onto it, use it for their own divination and meditation.”

Claire Burgess is a queer and non-binary tarot reader, educator, illustrator, writer, podcaster, and witch. Claire is an Aquarius Sun, Gemini Moon, and Scorpio Rising. They're the person behind The Word Witch Tarot and the host of The Word Witch Podcast, and now of course, the Fifth Spirit, which is a modern and inclusive tarot deck for a world beyond binaries. This deck is truly remarkable. It’s images are vast and really speak to my queer heart, so I wanted to share it with you on today’s episode in an effort to support the kickstarter for Fifth Spirit Tarot.

If you are seeking resources on ways to be more involved, I encourage you to visit the Story Archives on my instagram for more information. _____________________________________ Sagittarius Lunar Eclipse Fires of Great Change Eclipse energy offers a time of heightened emotional awareness with opportunities for exponential growth and evolution. During this portal, life can feel like it is moving at a more rapid pace. Sudden new insights into the world around us come flooding through, gifting us the extra encouragement to release outdated modes of existence no longer in alignment with the evolution of our planet. Simultaneously, the energy available to us offers us an equal opportunity to push us toward expanding beyond our comfort zone.

During Gemini Season we become very conscious of contradictions within our immediate surroundings. The Sagittarius Full Moon seeks to balance the duality of Gemini by expanding our perception of reality to include the entire global stratosphere through collective vision. What started out as a protest in the Twin Cities (Gemini the twins) has now sparked a revolution around the world (Sagittarius the world traveler). So far, all 50 states plus 18 countries have participated in the 'Black Lives Matter' protests making it the largest Civil Rights Movement in the world to date.

This particular Sagittarius Lunar Eclipse starts off a year and a half cycle of Eclipses along the Gemini/Sagittarius Axis. The last time we experienced this axis was during the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center: The Twin Towers (Gemini) – World Trade (Sagittarius). This invites us back to themes of this time period. For instance, the United States' police force acquired military grade equipment because of the terrorist attacks of 9-11. Now, we are revisiting this theme, with much discussion around how arming our police with more powerful weapons has led to more violence against Americans.

As the first Sagittarius Eclipse in a series, this eclipse offers us a clue into the themes that will carry us through 2021. Fateful realignments occur along the Sagittarius-Gemini axis. This shifts the "usual" invitation of the Sagittarius Full Moon. Instead of a focus on the big picture vision, it indicates a major opportunity to release outdated Sagittarian energy. With the South Node in Sagittarius, we may experience a pull toward the shadow of this archetype.

Lower Manifestations of Sagittarius

Sagittarius in a lower form can be heated, argumentative, and ignorant to other's world views. We may experience individuals exuding low-form Sagittarian traits at this time (especially during the Sagittarius Lunar Eclipse). We can expect aggressive tendencies, restlessness, erratic behavior, and even violence. We may exude these qualities within ourself, so be mindful of anger. If you feel your blood boiling, come back to mindfulness through your breath within your immediate surroundings.

Sagittarius rules over religion, philosophy, and higher education. Many people may be falling into outdated dogmatic religious and world views, while we also have the opportunity to clear out old limiting beliefs around these themes. If you are coming from a religious perspective, do not push your agenda. Now is not the time to preach. If you have received an education from an institution of "higher learning", how are you utilizing your degrees to further advance your neighborhood and immediate surrounding toward greater social understanding and intellect?

Sagittarius, the archer, is optimistic and idealistic, aiming its arrow toward a uniting philosophical or spiritual goal. However, the Sagittarius South Node indicates a heavy pull toward blind idealism and "spiritual bypassing". This can be problematic as it does not address the facts presented within one's own immediate surroundings. I have witnessed this lower form Sagittarian trait by observing white New Age spiritualist posting pictures of themselves at a waterfall with their crystals, while in reality the world around us is ...

Oh my goddess! Venus in Gemini is here. And I just realized, this episode is 55 minutes and 55 seconds. I did not even plan that, but this feels so divinely aligned with Gemini– Divine Sacred Messages from Spirit! Be open to receiving them!

In this episode we talk about the Empress, Lovers, and Queen of Swords in the tarot. All of these cards will connect us to the energy of Venus in Gemini. Then, I dive into the 4 months of Venus in Gemini, highlighting important transits during this period of time. I also look at the United States birth chart, to see how these energies might manifest for the collective.

Libra Full Moon

Justice Will be Served

I balance. I relate. I recalibrate.

Under the light of this Libra Full Moon, remember: everything happening in and around you is a balancing act bringing you and our planet into a deeper state of peace and harmony. If you resist the natural rhythms of this process, you may encounter frustration or irritation. Instead, how might you soften? Invite beauty into your life.

You can first start with yourself. Breathe the lunar light of the moon into your body. Visualize yourself in loving balance with both the Masculine + Feminine principles within and without. Take inventory. Have you been pushing yourself too hard? Do you need deeper rest and relaxation? Have you been holding yourself back? Or do you need to activate and stand-up in your life?

Either way, this Libra Full Moon gifts you the opportunity to recalibrate. In what ways can you bring greater balance to your life? Be gentle with yourself. Slow-down and listen. Create space for a more harmonious relationship between the Active + Passive, Yin + Yang energies in your life.

Aries Season inspires us to focus on our individual self. The Libra Full Moon is here to remind us that we cannot do this alone. Once you’ve recalibrated yourself, you’re ready to consider the Other. Reflect on your relationships and connections. Perhaps you write a list of the most sacred relationships in your life. How do they bring you a deeper sense of love and joy? Are your relationships balanced? This Libra Full Moon may bring hidden emotion up to the surface, shining a light to your interpersonal connections.

If something needs to be communicated in relationship, the Full Moon is here to illuminate. If an opportunity naturally arises, trust in the eb and flow. However, you may find this is not the time to reach out or initiate conversation around these themes, as emotions may be heightened. Instead, it might be wise to simply witness the surge of energy arising within you. Pause, wait, reflect — feel into it all — what wants to be revealed? This is a great time to journal your deeper thoughts and emotions around relationships in your life. Do you need more space in relationship? Do you desire more intimacy, support, and connection? What Truths needs to be communicated in order to bring a more loving balance to your relationships?

For those of us not in loving partnerships, this is the Full Moon to connect with your desire for deeper love and connection. Open yourself up to receiving. Allow the feeling of mutual respect, intimacy, and adoration to permeate your auric field. Connect with the love you feel for yourself. Feel the love of Spirit wash over you. Take time to reflect on the shifts you’ve made in your own life and how this is creating space for you to receive deeper love. If physical traits arise, let them go. Instead, focus on the desires and emotions underneath.

Once you’ve spent time with relationships, you’re ready to expand once more. The Libra Full Moon gifts us a bigger, more objective perspective. Aries Season hits the light switch on to our Conscious Awareness. Sometimes this can have us very intent on the immediate response, the here-and-now. Libra is here to remind us to take a more logical and detached approach. In its highest, Libra activates and awakens Peace, Justice and Liberation for All.

Reflect on and visualize a world that is balanced and fair, where Justice is served at all costs. Invite greater clarity and discernment around these themes into your life. Connect with principals of Universal Truth. How are you using your life force to ensure equality for others? In what ways can you help bring greater balance to your community? Are you being called to take more action? Or are you being asked to slow down and reduce harm through quiet stillness?

If you are unsure, that is totally okay and actually quite aligned in Libra energy. Connect to Spirit instead. Open yourself up to messages from birds, particularly: the dove, owl, egret, swan or stork. Call upon the peaceful union of God and Goddess within and without. Place your Justice and Empress tarot cards out. Visualize a healing + harmonious world. Light a candle. Say this to yourself three times: “I am a conduit for Universal Peace and Love. Allow this energy to flow through me like pure water and white light.”
