Gemini New Moon I ponder. I process. I write.

Can you cradle Darkness with Light? The Gemini New Moon is upon us. Today and this weekend offers us a time to recover and restore. We are invited inward into a place of adaptability. As the world around us continues to take new shape, simply notice what emotions this has brought up for you. Gemini energy may have us wanting to socially scatter, yet the New Moon beckons us to use this time to ponder.
What movement and changes have been brought into your life? What synchronicities and chance happenings have you encountered? Do you feel a certain charge of alignment with those individuals who have come into your life? Have you met your other Self? What new you is emerging at this time? Gift yourself space to process your ever changing reality through writing, journaling, lyricism, or spoken-word.
Gemini connects us to polarities. The contradictions in the world are illuminated over these 30 days. This New Moon is the time to get really clear on your own Truth within duality. Beyond the buzzing information and misinformation, what are you left with? Be mindful of the podcasts, media, and news sources you are engaging with. Be curiously discerning with who you interact with socially and intellectually. What starts out as an innocent conversation, can spin around into a space of confusion. Remember, Gemini can be a trickster.
Gemini asks, "should we go this way? or that way?" Gemini responds to its own question, "I think...both ways?" In a lower-form, we may find ourselves becoming split, traveling in entirely two different directions. We may say something untruthful to subconsciously create division of the Heart. Or perhaps we agree to something out of alignment, and as soon as the coast is clear, we run off!
"Now you see me, now you don't".
Gemini the Twins – the Divine Messengers – often bring us new information. As our Mutable Air sign, the messages can often be surprising, contradicting, and even life changing. In my own life, I have received disheartening news, and there is nothing I can do with this information but to simply be. I have also met new neighbors (Gemini rules over the neighborhood) who also traveled up to Mount Shasta from Los Angeles. There are two of them, like twins, and they are younger, inviting me into a place of innocent presence and play. Tonight we are playing a board game, and they are the first people I have hung out with since before the pandemic. I feel heavy. I feel light. Gemini is duality. How can we hold them both?

Go on a walk with your contradictions. Play patty-cake with your Truth. Dance with all of the information and messaging you are receiving both from within and without. Then bring it into harmony. Gemini rules the hands – an extension of our Heart. Bring both sides of yourself together in a prayer position. Propose a marriage between Yin & Yang. When you bring together the contradiction of Self, a loving presence and understanding of Truth emerges.

On this Gemini New Moon, anchor in your uncertainty. Reach out and embrace the world from a place of Truth. Open yourself up to being a loving channel of Divine Communication – build bridges between duality.

Scorpio Full Moon I harness. I release. I transform.

Heightened emotion and psychic receptivity. Long kept secrets revealed. This Scorpio Full Moon will likely dig up some Deeper Truths. If these new discoveries are painful or bring up uncomfortable emotions, trust that whatever arises is meant to be illuminated for the evolution and realignment of you.
In the world around us, this Scorpio Full Moon may have us all feeling a bit more intense or sensitive, as we are highly attuned to unseen forces at play. This makes us quite adept in our ability to peer into the mysteries of it all. New information is likely to emerge around themes of sexuality and power, particularly as it relates to government, authority, career, and the environment (Scorpio's ruling planet Pluto is in Capricorn).
Be mindful of who you interact and engage with around these topics. You may be more magnetically drawn toward outdated patterns: self-sabotage, drugs and alcohol, power dynamics, sexual compulsion, co-dependency, obsession, conspiracy, secrecy and even manipulation. With sharp discernment and precision, consciously focus your energy on healing. By doing so, you hold space (Fixed) for the emotional transformation (Water) to occur. *Use the 'King of Cups' in the tarot to meditate on the Fixed Water embodiment.
The Fixed Water modality of the Scorpio Full Moon can have of us holding on to emotion. This lower vibration of Fixed Water manifests as depression, repressed rage, jealousy, holding grudges, seeking revenge, or trying to gain control or power over our emotions. If this is the case, spend time with or around water to help you release any stagnation. We may also be more susceptible to storing other people's emotions or energies. Be weary of "energy vampires" or toxic individuals or environments. Practice spiritual hygiene. Set clear boundaries. Be sure to cleanse your space and call upon assistance from your guides.
What parts of yourself are ready to die? Tune in and acknowledge these parts. But be gentle. Death is a slow and sensual process. Find a healthy outlet for processing the grief of this death-rebirth cycle. Ritual, ancestral work, altar building, tarot reading, journaling, therapy, deep conversations with a trusted friend, sexual healing, and ceremonial expression like painting, poetry, chanting, or music are all highly recommended at this time.
This is also a great time to be alone. Scorpio energy invites us into a more internal landscape. What would Georgia O'Keeffe do? (Cosmic Cousin's 'Queen of Scorpio'). O'Keeffe left New York City and moved to the middle of the desert where she transformed her grief into beautiful portraits of bones, landscapes, and flowers–reflecting on themes of Life & Death. During this portal, life can feel like it is moving at a more rapid pace. Sudden new insights into the world around us come flooding through, gifting us the extra encouragement to release outdated modes of existence no longer in alignment with the evolution of our planet. Simultaneously, the energy available to us offers us an equal opportunity to push us toward expanding beyond our comfort zone.

During Gemini Season we become very conscious of contradictions within our immediate surroundings. The Sagittarius Full Moon seeks to balance the duality of Gemini by expanding our perception of reality to include the entire global stratosphere through collective vision. What started out as a protest in the Twin Cities (Gemini the twins) has now sparked a revolution around the world (Sagittarius the world traveler). So far, all 50 states plus 18 countries have participated in the 'Black Lives Matter' protests making it the largest Civil Rights Movement in the world to date.

This particular Sagittarius Lunar Eclipse starts off a year and a half cycle of Eclipses along the Gemini/Sagittarius Axis. The last time we experienced this axis was during the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center: The Twin Towers (Gemini) – World Trade (Sagittarius). This invites us back to themes of this time period. For instance, the United States' police force acquired military grade equipment because of the terrorist attacks of 9-11. Now, we are revisiting this theme, with much discussion around how arming our police with more powerful weapons has led to more violence against Americans.

As the first Sagittarius Eclipse in a series, this eclipse offers us a clue into the themes that will carry us through 2021. Fateful realignments occur along the Sagittarius-Gemini axis. This shifts the "usual" invitation of the Sagittarius Full Moon. Instead of a focus on the big picture vision, it indicates a major opportunity to release outdated Sagittarian energy. With the South Node in Sagittarius, we may experience a pull toward the shadow of this archetype.

Lower Manifestations of Sagittarius

Sagittarius in a lower form can be heated, argumentative, and ignorant to other's world views. We may experience individuals exuding low-form Sagittarian traits at this time (especially during the Sagittarius Lunar Eclipse). We can expect aggressive tendencies, restlessness, erratic behavior, and even violence. We may exude these qualities within ourself, so be mindful of anger. If you feel your blood boiling, come back to mindfulness through your breath within your immediate surroundings.

Sagittarius rules over religion, philosophy, and higher education. Many people may be falling into outdated dogmatic religious and world views, while we also have the opportunity to clear out old limiting beliefs around these themes. If you are coming from a religious perspective, do not push your agenda. Now is not the time to preach. If you have received an education from an institution of "higher learning", how are you utilizing your degrees to further advance your neighborhood and immediate surrounding toward greater social understanding and intellect?

Sagittarius, the archer, is optimistic and idealistic, aiming its arrow toward a uniting philosophical or spiritual goal. However, the Sagittarius South Node indicates a heavy pull toward blind idealism and "spiritual bypassing". This can be problematic as it does not address the facts presented within one's own immediate surroundings. I have witnessed this lower form Sagittarian trait by observing white New Age spiritualist posting pictures of themselves at a waterfall with their crystals, while in reality the world around us is ...
