Today's episode is for my entrepreneurs or those who want to live with excellency like a boss. Women have a hard time with getting investors. There are some things that you need to do to get into a room and own it. Today's Guest Podcast Host is Sydney Wong.
Sydney Wong is an author as well as the Founder and CEO of VenturX. Her literature work, written under the pen name of David Adams, focuses on helping others be more productive and efficient. Sydney’s successful journey of her professional accomplishments have been shaped around one thing: balance. She likes to do yoga and cook to relive her stress and take a break from her work life. Her core values consist of excellence, altruism, and drive, all of which have helped her be successful. With the current events happening and the world being on lock-down, Sydney has been committed to helping others stay on top of their game by coming out with How To Have A Good Day, a book which guides individuals on how they can keep up their routine while being stuck at home. Furthermore, she shares her best practices on her Medium blogs and through guesting on podcasts that share her values of excellence, altruism, and drive.

Accountability vs Resonsibility
Conversations with Toi
11/11/22 • 62 min
Do you know the difference between accountability vs Responsibility? Can you be accountable without taking responsibility? Can you accept your responsibility in what you say or do but not take accountability? We talk about it today. Too many take responsibility or think they are but blame others for their actions.
No one can make you do anything. You are responsible for your actions whether you see that or not. This is a lack of accountability and sometimes if not always a lack of responsibility too.

We are celebrating my 8th Blogiversary. With that I am inviting my blogger friends who have been supportive of my journey. I kept it under wraps (cat is out of the bag now). I can't wait to talk about the experience next week. However there were times that mean spirited people would have stopped my journey had I allowed it.

Drink of the day is the Pink Moscato Cocktail.

You ever experience burnout and someone attributes it to you not being grateful? It's annoying right. You can have all of the resources in the world or none at all and we all experience the different stages of burnout in various ways.
We may not know or understand the ramifications that we all go through but it doesn't things in life any easier.
We have Holly Penney. She is a mom, finance enthusiast, speaker, writer, self-love advocate, 4-time ovum donor, travel addict, minimalist and lover of all things chocolate. Experiencing childhood trauma and then as an adult, Holly began to realize there were negative patterns in her life. One day, as she calls it a "low point," she decided to take matters into her own hands and dive deep into personal development. This was the beginning of her healing journey. Growing self-awareness, Holly came to realize that for the first 30 years of her life, she didn't know the meaning of self-care. After attending a retreat in 2019, Holly fell in love with herself and found a passion for journaling. Since 2019 she has made a commitment to prioritize self-care. Whether that's going for a run, taking a long hot bath or journaling. Holly started a successful professional bookkeeping firm (NovaRidge Bookkeeping Ltd.). Being able to support people was another passion of hers. Holly decided to make it her mission to support them anyway she could. She began creating a journal (launching June 2022) in hopes of inspiring women to fall in love with themselves. In 2021, Holly launched a book club called As The Page Turns, creating a safe space for like-minded women to talk about personal growth. She continues to share her story by speaking and writing. Holly is dedicated to supporting women on their self-love journeys by creating community through her workshops, retreats and journaling. Her new website will launch in May 2022.
Also as we start the weekend I want to challenge everyone to do something for themselves. Challenge yourself to do something that fills your personal. Fill your cup first so you can help others.

Consistency is Really Key
Conversations with Toi
07/15/22 • 58 min
Happy Friday and welcome to a new episode of Conversations with Toi. Today we talk about Consistency is key. We all know that but in a world where popularity seem to win, it's important to remember that consistency will take you places that popularity can't sustain.
......
Mean Girls-I had another episode with another mean girl during this week's events. It gets easier as times goes by. For those who have ever met someone online who seems to be about empowering and when you meet them in real life and it don't match-acknowledge it. Understand everyone aren't' who they are. If you encounter them more than one like that-believe them. Believe that they are really mean spirited regardless if it "meant" that way or not.
......
The response in the Uvalde shooting has been trash. The police were sworn to serve and protect and the newest revealed videos are giving coward energy. Prayers continuously to the families and friends affected by this tragedy.
.......
Elon Musk dad, Errol had a baby with his step dad. I am a stepdaughter and ain't no way I am sleeping with my dad. It don't matter if its blood or not its gross and wrong.
....
Show up for yourself daily. Acknowledge when you need to take a step back to gather yourself but show up. Be consistent and make sure that you don't let the cares of the world take you so far down that you fall out the game.
