[REPLAY] Making Space for Rest with Jordan Maney
12/26/22 • 46 min
If you’re listening to episode around the time in drops, we’re right in the middle of the winter holidays and many of use are using this time to reconnect with our families, friends, and loved ones. But hopefully, that also means carving out some time for rest and rejuvenation.
In the spirit of that, I’m replaying my interview with Jordan Maney. I so appreciate how Jordan approaches the concept of rest, how she gives permission to coaches and entrepreneurs to really embrace rest as a part of their process, and that she provides concrete actions we can take to better incorporate rest into our daily practice.
In this episode, Jordan shares how she helps creative and intuitive business owners. lessons Jordan learned from her first venture into entrepreneurship, the messy, uncomfortable side of pivoting, her path to becoming a Radical Joy CoachTM, what you need to remember about the refinement process, how Jordan defines rest, why we need to pay close attention to the energy we give out, turning your attention back to yourself, making time for rest, why everything in our calendar seems too important to cut, getting very clear on your actual capacity, the rest-capacity relationship, the several different types of rest, why Jordan believes we should aim for harmony instead of balance, the connections between rest and advocacy, what sustainable advocacy looks like, and more.

In this episode, we’re going to talk about a question I get all the time: “How do I become a coach?” After I start that discussion, I often hear, “How do I become an intuitive coach?”
There are three parts to this answer:
- What does it mean to be intuitive?
- How do I become a coach?
- What does it mean to combine the two and become an intuitive coach?
So let’s get started.
