Claim Your Career Crown - Why Do People Need to Learn About Selling with Love?
play

12/22/22 • 23 min

We all know how little people like to be sold to. Many see sales as "sleazy," in large part because so many salespeople come across as inauthentic and uncaring. But sales can truly help people... if you know how to sell with love. Truly understand your client, provide them with a product or service that will genuinely improve their life, and they'll be happy to do business with you. So how do you tap into the caring side of sales? We spoke with Jason Marc Campbell about the art of selling with love.

Jason Marc Campbell is the author of Selling with Love: Earn with Integrity and Expand Your Impact. He is on a mission to inspire small business owners with sales reluctance to embrace it as a beautiful activity that transforms lives. Jason also interviews thought leaders from around the world on topics of Leadership, Team building, Communication, Productivity, and so much more.

He is a public speaker who’s shared the stage with the likes of Gary V, Jason Silva, Vishen Lakhiani, Lisa Nichols and more. Jason has spoken at events by Hubspot, Inc Magazine and A-Fest.

He has worked for Mindvalley, a personal growth ed-tech company, for 7 years. He's been responsible for million-dollar product launches, handling the PR for a New York Times best-selling book, launching the very first membership platforms, selling thousand people, one month long events and bringing in top level authors to be published by the company. Jason still is an author and a host on the platform.

His mission is all about teaching companies to care more. As businesses have so much power in the capitalist world, if we can educate businesses to take on more responsibility on how they sell, how they market, how they treat their employees, and even how they invest their money, we start shifting the very planet into a better place for all.

Claim Your Career Crown - Break Free From Expectations & Live the Life You Were Meant
play

05/31/22 • 26 min

From the time we're young, most of us have expectations put upon us about what we'll do with our lives. Sometimes those expectations come from ourselves, sometimes they're from family members or teachers, and sometimes they're from society or our culture. But as we grow into ourselves, those expectations might not fit with what we really want in life. How can you break free from that and pursue your own path? We spoke with Travia Steward about how to embark on the life you were meant to live.

Travia Steward is the Founder of Reinvent You, LLC and a Breakthrough Transformational Coach. She helps people create personal and professional breakthroughs that improve major areas of their lives. She guides them in the right small actions by getting clarity on what matters to them in pursuit of their dreams and goals.

Travia’s mission is to inspire and empower as many people as possible to live the highest vision for their lives without settling.

As host of the Breakthrough Podcast, she focuses on stories of people who one day decided that enough was enough, to take a stand for themselves, their health, and relationships and had a breakthrough that changed the trajectory of their life. She also focuses on sharing action steps that her audience can take right now.

We begin our conversation with Travia's background. What inspired her to help others find their breakthroughs? Travia goes over some of the events that shaped her, what she learned from them, and how it became her mission to empower others, too.

Travia explains her process for helping her clients. This can begin with identifying what expectations they have for their lives and where those plans came from. Then it's about determining whether that's what you want... or if there are other goals that deserve to be chased. Travia helps them gain clarity and take steps to achieve their dreams.

Traditional e-newsletters have been affected by these trends... but how? Newsletters have been around for a long time, but they may not be as effective as you'd think. Meera explains all here, but moreover, she offers ways to counteract the limitations of newsletters. Indeed, by following her tips here, you'll see a boost in email engagement. Just make sure what you're sending out has real intention behind it.

Meera then outlines some of the benefits of adopting a non-traditional newsletter and fresh email alternatives. Have you considered gamifying your emails? Maybe infusing them with quizzes or something inspirational? Meera reveals some new ideas that will lead to your emails standing out and seeing increased email engagement.

Claim Your Career Crown - Niche and Pitch: How to Zero in on Your Ideal Client
play

09/28/21 • 17 min

In order to sell effectively, you must first know your target audience. However, for many, determining just who that is can prove to be challenging. The hardest part for most is in narrowing it down to a fairly specific niche. We instinctively want to sell to as many people as possible, meaning our marketing becomes too broad. But if you're selling to everyone, you're selling to no one. How can you finetune your niche? And from there, how can you make the right sales pitch for your ideal client? We spoke with Chala Dincoy, a marketing strategist who's worked with some of the biggest brands. She shares her wisdom on how to niche and pitch.

Chala Dincoy is the CEO and Founder of The Repositioning Expert (division of Coachtactics). She’s a Marketing Strategist who helps professional service companies change their messaging to attract more decision makers. In her former life, Chala was an award winning marketer at companies such as Pepsi, Pizza Hut, Frito Lay, Diageo, Playtex and BIC Inc for 20 years. In addition, Chala is a regularly featured expert on major television networks such as ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, as well as a popular speaker at International conferences.

Our conversation starts with learning about Chala's journey to becoming a marketing strategist and starting The Repositioning Expert. Chala has an impressive background, and after years of working with several household names, she has since authored two consequential books and launched her own organization. She's an expert on selling and zeroing in on the ideal client, making this a particularly informative podcast episode.

So, why is finding your niche essential to effective marketing and sales? Chala explains why homing in on your niche isn't just helpful, it's necessary to your success. Your target customer informs the product or service you provide, and understanding that ideal client is paramount to knowing how to reach them. Marketing and sales are most effective when you have a specific niche and truly understand that niche.

By now, you can accept the value of niching down in theory. But how does a company discover what their perfect niche is? That can be tricky, especially in the beginning. Chala shares advice on how to determine who you want or are best fit to sell to. This can take some time in researching, talking to your prospects and existing clients, and a bit of trial and error. But with time and attention, you will finetune your target.

Okay, you have a niche now. How do you make the right sales pitch for the people in that niche? This comes down to understanding your audience. What do they want, need, or lack? What has worked for them before that no longer gives them results? Where can you find them, and how can you reach them? Chala reveals the secrets to success here.

Sometimes, despite your best efforts, you may find that the niche you thought was right for you isn't working out. How can you course correct if your find that your niche isn’t working out? Chala offers some tips on how to determine where it went wrong and how to fix the situation. She then shares some final thoughts, tips, and advice about niching and pitching.
