Cancer Cured Me

Cancer Cured Me

Alexandra Simms

This is NOT a podcast about cancer. It’s actually more of a celebration of life and a journey of happiness, a voyage built on a simple but powerful truth: That YOU hold ALL the cards to achieve your dreams and to live your very best life.

A few years ago, I received my cancer diagnosis and it felt like my world had caved in. But my journey through treatment and recovery also forced me to recognise many uncomfortable truths about my life.

I’d neglected myself. I’d pushed down trauma and worried about everything and everyone all the time. Getting ill made me realise I had to stop sweating the small stuff and make lasting changes for the better. Quite literally, cancer cured me from all that crap, and in its own strange way, proved to be the catalyst that’s led me to an infinitely happier life.

I want to share positive, uplifting energy with you all, to help you unlock your potential and finally free the happiness that’s inside of you. You totally deserve it.

I’ll be talking to amazing guests who’ll share their stories and knowledge on a myriad of subjects, ranging from nurturing our hormonal health, to self-care in winter; from heart-wrenching stories of being bullied for being poor to becoming a multi-millionaire, to self-healing from Multiple Sclerosis; from cyclical living and nervous system regulation, to overcoming binge eating disorders, lymphatic drainage and a thousand more subjects besides.

Along the way, we’ll meet inspiring entrepreneurs, powerful healers, incredible wellness experts, psychologists, coaches and amazing ‘ordinary’ people like you and I, who’ve gone through stuff and come back stronger.

I’ll be talking to them all and inspiring you to get out of your own way and live your best life. I’d be delighted if you’d join me.

In this episode, La is talking with the incredible Bella Chater - an EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and Matrix Reimprinting Practitioner specialising in emotional resilience, subconscious reprogramming, and somatic healing. With over a decade of experience using EFT, she helps individuals release emotional blocks, rewire limiting beliefs, and regulate their nervous system to create deep and lasting transformation

Her approach is holistic yet practical with a goal to help clients process emotional stress, reduce anxiety, and rewrite subconscious patterns at the root. Unlike traditional methods that focus on symptom management, Bella works on a somatic level, creating change not just on a mindset level but at a physiological and subconscious level. This means real shifts in how you think, feel, and automatically respond to stress, anxiety, and emotional triggers—helping you step into greater clarity, confidence, and resilience in both your personal and professional life.

How It Works:

EFT (Tapping) has been scientifically shown to reduce cortisol—the body’s main stress hormone—by up to 43% in just one session. Matrix Reimprinting goes even deeper, helping to rewire subconscious childhood imprints and replace outdated emotional patterns with empowering new ones. This approach is particularly effective for inner child healing, self-sabotage, and deeply ingrained limiting beliefs.
