The belated movie sequel is a terrifying proposition. It starts with a movie you love and ends decades later with broken promises and a disgusting taste in your mouth. Don't believe me? Go watch Caddyshack 2, Dumb and Dumberer, Saturday Night Fever, Return To The Blue Lagoon, Son Of The Mask, Basic Instinct 2, Blues Brothers 2000, Return To Oz, or The Godfather Part III.

But none of those movies had the potential to break our hearts more than Top Gun: Maverick. So after years of rumors, development, and delays, the day of judgement has arrived. In a rare departure from our usual programming, Buzzn The Tower will dedicate an entire episode to a movie not made in the 1980s, and no I'm not talking about Point Break. Today on Buzzn The Tower we'll give you our live reaction to Top Gun: Maverick. I'm Mo Shapiro and joining me as always, the disappointing sequel to my blockbuster original, Max Sanders. Directed by Jim Henson, executive produced by George Lucas, starring David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly. Yet despite that lineup, a total commercial flop that broke the heart of it's creator. Labyrinth is the dictionary definition of a cult classic and luckily Jim Henson lived long enough to see how much people truly loved his dark fairytale.
