Licensing & Government Compliance Part 1 - Ben Tesoriero from CPS Planning
We now have a look at a very important and often very confusing topic when it comes to opening and running a brewery and that is Brewery Licensing & Government Compliance.
Part 1 of our 3 episode segment is a sit down with Ben Teseorieo from CPS Planning. I was put onto Ben from Glenn Wignall from the Grifter who highly recommended Ben and his firm of experienced Towners Planners services.
They have a wealth of experience when it comes to assisting brewery owners with site selection, development applications and navigating the often-confusing steps in the planning and approval process of opening a brewery.
This is a must listen for any aspiring brewery owner wanting to learn how the planning and approval process works with local government.

Licensing & Government Compliance Part 3 - Mayor Darcy Byrne from Inner West Council
Part 3 and the final episode of the Brewery Licensing & Government Compliance segment.
In this episode I managed to line up a chat with Mayor Darcy Bryne from the Inner West Council. Darcy, a craft beer enthusiast, has been a big advocate for the craft beer scene that has sprung up in Sydney’s Inner West for the past 10 years. He and other contributors have played a very big role in lobbying for better regulations across all levels of government to try making it easier for new breweries to open and operate. He also helped launch the Inner West Brewers Association that includes original members such as Wayward Brewing, Grifter, Young Henrys, Willie The Boatman and more.
In our chat, I talk with Darcy about how he came to have a passion for the craft beer industry, dealing with local councils, the challenges still facing breweries opening up in regards to untangling red tape and what efforts have been made previously and currently for improving conditions for the craft beer industry.
