Episode 4: The Hunger
In this episode, Drusilla and Josh discuss one of the chicest lesbian vampire films of all time, The Hunger. It's so chic that Drusilla wore a beret! Drusilla watched Mill of the Stone Women and Josh watched Netflix's new Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022), which was surprisingly good. The duo discusses the sequels in brief and the general pitfalls of sequels and reboots.
Then they get into the feature which stars Catherine Deneuve, Susan Sarandon, and David Bowie. They discuss the less-than-stellar reviews from the time and how it compares to the 80s vampire films that followed. Drusilla and Josh go through the narrative, which takes them down tangents like whether or not New York has alleyways and the makeup effects. The studio ruined the ending, maybe.
Finally, Drusilla and Josh play Have They Seen It. They also announce the next feature, which is the Ukrainian horror film, Viy.
