We can have a mainstream arthouse movie, as a treat. Josh and Drusilla catch up after a trying week and catch up on movies. Josh watched Hour of the Wolf before going on a Bergman break. Drusilla saw David Arquette at Bob Baker Day. The duo discusses goth fitness and the Andrew WK renaissance before Josh tells yet another cocaine story. Drusilla watched At Long Last Love, which is good no matter what boomers say, and we love Polly Platt. Josh watched and loved Woodlands Dark and Days Bewitched as well as The Greasy Strangler.
And then onto the feature, the director's cut of Ari Aster's Midsommar. Drusilla gives a trigger warning for self-harm and suicide. Dani (Florence Pugh) has the worst boyfriend of all time. The duo compares Midsommar to Hereditary and also the differences between the director's cut and the theatrical cut. They talk gaslighting and ritual, anthropology and the terrifying old people ceremony, vacations where they weren't wanted, Josh's pagan hillbilly family, meat pies full of pubes, inbreeding, then have a long debate about using disfigured actors in horror films before playing Have They Seen It?

Episode 11: Arrebato
This week Drusilla and Josh talk about the criminally underseen Spanish film Arrebato by Ivan Zulueta. We talk magic and Magic Castle. The Bergman Report continues with Persona and its influence on Lynch and Altman. They also discuss Day of the Beast, playing The Sims on cocaine, Adventures in Babysitting vs Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead, Days of Wine and Roses and other drunk films, Sid and Nancy, more Shaft, and then get into the feature. This movie is so hard to describe. New wave aesthetics. Josh says Almodovar wrong a million times. This is kind of a vampire movie where you're the victim for watching it. Directors who aren't from film backgrounds or the best. Dru can't see lips. Then they play Have They Seen It?

Episode 13: Cemetery Man aka Dellamorte Dellamore
This week Drusilla and Josh watched Cemetery Man aka Dellamorte Dellamore starring sexy, sexy Rupert Everett.
But first! Robert Eggers and hot directors, reclaiming the New Beverly with an Errol Flynn double feature, Woodlands Dark and Days Bewitched, Robin Redbreast, You Won't Be Alone, Josh is ignorant about Macedonia, and then they get into the feature. Dru confesses her love of Angry Video Game Nerd, Josh goes to the video store, the life-changing Videoteque in South Pasadena, "style over substance" is bullshit, City of Lost Children and Jeunet et Caro, keeping your lover's head in a box, Kate McKinnon's doppelganger Anna Fulci, Michele Suovi and Stage Fright, this movie was filmed in a real cemetery with real skeletons, Magritte's The Lovers, little ghost sperms or will o' whisps, impotence and penis surgery, Tim Burton and Pee Wee's Playhouse, hilarious car accidents and motorcycle, the infamous ending of St. Elsewhere and movies that end with being trapped in a snowglobe, and Have They Seen It?
