Matthew Bacoate is the founder of Asheville Community Enterprises, which launched in 2017. After Matthew’s first-hand and longstanding experiences in the professional substance use and mental health fields, he realized the staff members serving our most vulnerable populations were often overworked, and under-supported with resources. In realizing that not only the staff, but the organizations themselves needed support in managing their vitally important community services, the Safe Plus More digital application was visioned. Safe Plus More has supported hundreds of staff and community members including staff from the City of Asheville Fire Department and Responder Support Services. The app helps in executing their programs and is currently expanding to support staff, clients, and community members across the Southeast.
