The first half, Merf and I interview each other so you all can get to know us better. I definitely learned lots of new stuff about Merf! She learned I do not drink coffee! Blasphemy, I know.
We rage, I mean discuss, the b.s. going on with Ozempic and Wegovy. (Celebrities using it for vanity purposes and leaving diabetics to have to figure out how to get meds they need for living.)
We also rage about the American Academy of Pediatrics suggesting diet drugs for kids between 2 and 13. Weight loss surgery for kids 13 and higher. We are both grossed out about the harm they are going to cause. Kids need unconditional love, not to be body shamed.
Then we launch into our listener email. The author is 50 and wants dating while fat advice. Asherlee, our editor, mentioned there is an app for people of size that are dating. It's called Woo Plus.
At the end, Merf tells us all about an $85 toy she really does not like!
