Jason is a U.S. Navy Veteran having served in U.S. "Operation Noble Anvil" [NATO "Operation Allied Force"] aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt. He is a retired NYPD Cold Case Homicide Detective with twenty years of experience in forensic and criminal investigations. Jason has served as a peer support counselor with the NYPD and currently volunteers as a crisis intervention counselor trainer with the Long Island Crisis Center. He is also a John C. Maxwell certified life coach, teacher, speaker, and trainer.
Jason co-authored a book on police wellness and resilience with Barbara Rubel entitled, Living Blue: Helping Law Enforcement Officers and Their Families Survive and Thrive from Recruitment to Retirement.
Alongside his wife Veronica, Jason started the Living Blue Apparel company. Their passion is in doing their part to ensure those that serve and protect us feel connected to those who support them. Ultimately, they hope to strengthen the health and wellness of the law-enforcement community.
