Age, they say, is just a number. But what if you lived your entire life in the same span as a dog, growing up and old in 10 or 15 years rather than 80 or 90.

Podcast Q&A
Why did you start this show?
As a novelist, it can be months or even years between books. So, I wanted to give my readers something to tide them over between publication dates. Plus, I had a lot of ideas for short stories that I wanted to get out there right away, rather than trying to chase down the right magazine or anthology. This way, I'm creating my own audio anthology of tales that I hope will entertain and keep you coming back for more!
What do you hope listeners gain from listening to your show?
I hope you'll get to the end and say to yourself, "I didn't see that coming!"
Which episode should someone start with?
Any of them. They are all stand alone stories that do not require you listen in any particular order.
Which have been your favourite episodes so far?
Some of my favorites are "#4 - The Charlatan's Conundrum," "#6 - White," "#8 - Interrogations in Room #3", "#15 - Howl," "#22 - The New Guy," "#28 - Tricked" and "#29 - The Time Traveler's Dilemma."
Which episode are you most proud of?
#37 - Goldie. It's a retelling of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Only in this version, the girl doesn't get away...
What is your vision for your show?
I hope to include stories from other writers, and perhaps eventually take it into a full-on audio drama for some of the stories.
What is your favourite other podcast that isn't yours?
Scott Sigler Podcast and The Other Stories
How did you come up with the name for your podcast?
The stories are 20-25 minutes in length, just the right amount of time to wind down with at the end of the day, so, Bedtime Stories. But they're the type of story that's more likely to keep you awake rather than lull you to sleep, so For Insomniacs.
Tell us a bit about yourself
I was a television writer, I had the opportunity to write for shows such as The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Star Trek: Voyager and The New Addams Family. I love Doctor Who and Legos and now that there's a Doctor Who Lego set, I'm at peace. Please visit https://RichHosek.com to learn all about me and get a list of all my social media links.
