Come celebrate Lesbian Week of Visibility (April 25-May 1, annually), with host Beau Bradley (he/they) and special guest Ainara "Nana" Luque (she/her).
The duo laugh through this too-incredible-to-cut-down episode discussing Lesbian and LGBTQIA+ community visibility, breaking down the U.S. population of Lesbians by generation, and really digging into Ainara's sexuality journey.
Our incredible guest shares what it was like growing up as a Queer youth in Spain, and how it was to move on her own to the United States. Nana gets extremely vulnerable and shares many nuggets of information that will not only be helpful for anyone to hear, but healing for many queer people listening.
The pair break down lesbian stereotypes, experiences and reasons why it can be scary to be LGBTQIA+ in public, when Nana realized she was a lesbian, and more!
This is an episode you DO NOT want to miss!

#16 - Trans Kids Need Your Help
Beau my God
03/31/21 • 22 min
In today's passionate episode, host Beau Bradley (he/they) discussed Transgender Day of Visibility, and the current anti-trans movement in state legislature, that is unconstitutionally attempting to dissolve medical care for transgender individuals including stopping access to health insurance, stopping hormone therapy, gender affirming care, and mental health access. Some of these bills make it illegal for doctors and other medical professionals to treat their transgender patients without facing the penalty of jail. These and similar anti-trans bills are being introduced in at least 26 states across the U.S., as a result of the current administration's push of the Equality Act.
In this short one on one with Beau, he breaks down what gender affirming care looks like, why it's necessary and why these bills are in direct violation of human and civil rights. Then they discuss anti-trans sports bills targeting all athletes in women's sports with new regulations such as gender policing, which involves invasive genital exams to participate in women's sports, state maintained registries of athlete's genders and more. Has anyone stopped to ask why the cis white men in these court hearings aren't threatened by trans men in men's sports? It's all smoke in mirrors.
Discrimination based on sex, sexual orientation, gender, and age is prohibited by federal law. So call your representatives and the representatives below, TODAY... to get these terrible inhuman laws vetoed.

#40 - Queer + Overwhelmed
Beau my God
09/16/22 • 26 min
In this all new episode of BMG, host Beau Bradley (they/he) jumps back into The Queer Alphabet discussing the Q in LGBTQIA+, and how it stands for both Queer and Questioning. In today's episode, Beau focuses on Q is for Queer walking through the history of the term, the turmoil over it within the queer community, and more starting in the 16th century. To expand upon the feelings behind the term, Beau reads excerpts from a Them article entitled, 9 LGBTQ+ People Explain How They Love, Hate, and Understand the Word “Queer,” because how better to explain such a nuanced term, and conglomerate of perspectives and identities, than with many, many perspectives!
Then, Beau then chats health and wellness by walking through some tips and tricks to help when you're feeling overwhelmed. this portion of the podcast ends with a 5-10 minute self-led activity, for you to better prepare for the next time you're feeling overwhelmed by jotting down what is taking up your brain space, prioritizing the things you can change and that have time deadlines, listing out different things that can help when you need to step away, and who to call when you are feeling down.

Check in on Beau My God this week to hear discussion from host Beau Bradley (he/they) on some pretty serious current events, including the latest on the imprisonment and efforts to secure the release of two-time Olympic gold medalist and WNBA allstar #BrittneyGriner; and then monkey pox, covering knowledge about how it spreads, who is at risk and what you can do to minimize your risk to the (lack of) government response, eerily reminiscent of their response to the AIDS pandemic. Beau wraps things up by offering a reminder to practice and maintain coping skills, especially for during times of intense stress or anxiety. However big or small, utilizing coping skills during moments of stress will help both your mind and body to regulate.

In today's candid Beau my God episode, host Beau Bradley (he/they) sits down with proudly disabled trans man and educator Logan Adams (he/him) to discuss all of the queer things. The duo start out by discussing their experiences coming out with family, both the good and the bad - and what it was like for Logan to come out at work, as the first and only transgender employee at his school district. As a leader and a role model, Logan explains how he has come out to his students, how he has began to pave the way for LGBTQIA+ individuals in his town and more! The pair share tidbits of gay history, their own past experiences, and what life has been like one year into COVID-19. Logan openly shares his experiences growing up as the different kid, and how he was stereotyped and picked on for being gay, even before he realized he was bisexual. Beau shares how he got the nick name "Tits" in high school and how life changed overnight when he went through puberty the first time, which leads into a discussion on the domino effect that happens when people realize the full reality of gender. This wholesome episode is one you aren't going to want to miss!

In this episode, host Beau Bradley (he/they) sits down with friend of nine years, Samantha Allen (she/her) to discuss topics ranging from their shared experiences growing up in small town, PA and as students and friends at Penn State, to the pace at which the American media is adapting to gender neutral terms and the diversity and inclusion of its staff.
Working as a lifestyle writer and editor over the past six years, from State College to NYC to Denver, Sami looks back on her upbringing, and her collegiate journalism experience and how it shaped the way she leads now, as a first time-boss in the industry.
The duo joke about their experiences in student organizations and in the classroom at Penn State University - a home they both admiringly look back on, but with much wider and weathered lenses. The truth is, systemic racism, lack of representation (of all types, shapes, sizes and colors) and the lack of diversity in faculty begs these intergenerational issues to persist. Dissecting fear of progress and change in the boomer generation, is just one of the bonus conversations you get in this episode. From politics to milk, no topic is off limits!
They touch on greek life and what it was like during their time at PSU, Sami's favorite professors, and even how BMG has played a role in her own family dynamic. If you are looking for the BMG episode Samantha so graciously talks about, it is "Windows and Mirrors with Beth Farr" from Season 1! Check it out if you haven't already!!
Grab a drink (or not) and settle in for this episode of what feels like "catching up with the girls," yes... girl is used as a loose term for the non-binary being that is Beau Bradley in this example.

#5 - You are NOT alone with Chris Smith
Beau my God
09/26/20 • 54 min
Join Beau Bradley (They/Them/he/him) and special guest, Howard University PhD Student, and published expert on sexuality and non monogamy, Chris Smith (they/them/omni), as they discuss the intertwined nature of queerness and blackness, along with their personal journey with non monogamy. Chris explains the three main types of non monogamy, their experience as a queer child in a conservative black household and how everything they do is routed in love, caring, and respect. Other things covered in this episode include backwashing, cheating, and why it is imperative to be your own primary partner. Join along in this fascinating conversation where Chris's wisdom and knowledge can help us all learn to be more caring and accepting. In a world where at least 39% of the queer population in America identify as BIPOC, where better to learn then from the source! Don't forget to like, subscribe and leave a review! Can't wait to hear what you all have to say!
This episode contains minimal cursing, but I refuse to rate it as "explicit," because that does not apply to this episode.
