COVID Vaccine Hesitancy and True Facts (with Dr. Steven Chang)
09/21/21 • 38 min
The tables have turned as our guest—Dr. Steven Chang, Crossover’s Primary Care Program Director—puts Dan in the hot seat with a pop quiz about the latest COVID-19 stats. Despite the staggering number of COVID cases (like, 1 in every 10 Americans have or have had COVID), there are still many factors people are claiming for refusal or delay in receiving the COVID vaccine, including misinformation. In this episode, Steven gets real (as in factual) and addresses all things relating to the COVID vaccine—from debunking some myths, to addressing side effects, clarifying what’s actually in the vaccine (nope, no 5G chips), masks (wait, even if I’m vaccinated?), natural immunity, and info on the booster. Spread the word to stop the spread...this is the podcast we all need to share to get as many people vaccinated as possible to keep our community safe and loved ones healthy.
Stick to the end to hear Steven’s go-to podcast, his healthy routine of choice, and his most recent binge watch on HBO Max.
NOTE: The COVID-19 is continually evolving, as is the news released by the CDC and WHO. This episode was recorded on Sep 16, 2021 based on the facts available regarding the COVID vaccine on that date.

YOU are the CEO of Your Health (with Dr. Yvonne Robinson-Hawkins)
Yvonne Robinson-Hawkins, MD has some straight talk for Dan in this episode (as in, “your health is not a spectator sport”, people!) about how to be your best and most engaged advocate—or in her words, the CEO of your own body. What it takes to be a good CEO, actually makes sense when you consider what we should be doing to keep a strong relationship with our healthcare providers to meet our personal health goals. If you have ever felt embarrassed, dismissed, mistreated, unsure, or uncomfortable...take Yvonne’s crash course on how to take charge and act like a CEO for the sake of your own health by listening to this podcast.
Stick to the end to hear Yvonne’s (literally, one and only) choice of podcasts, her late night guilty pleasure (as a busy mom and professional), and how her FREE healthy habit to start each day keeps her grounded and grateful.

Online or Hands-on Healthcare? Yes. (with Dr. Danna Chung)
Wondering how doctors are able to treat patients online or how it all works? What part of healthcare are people doing online? Does it work or is it a waste of time if you have to be seen in person anyway?
We’ve invited Dr. Danna Chung, Virtual Medical Director at Crossover, to chat with Dan about getting the most you can out of healthcare in the hybrid world we live in—both in-person and virtually. It doesn’t have to be one or the other, “it’s not one size fits all.”
Danna gets us to think about what goes on in the exam room (after you finally get the appointment, drive there, and wait for the doctor). Hybrid care gets rid of the waste, gets patients engaged on their own time (and from their living rooms), and gets a deeper ongoing relationship with a care team. There’s really no excuse any more to not “go to the doctor.” (Psst, got a quick or embarrassing question that wouldn’t usually warrant a trip to the doctor?)
Stick to the end to find out what (funny) podcasts Danna’s listening to, her guilty pleasure (admit it, we all do this!), and how she’s been sneaking in an extra supplement in her coffee on the advice from the health coach on her team (clever!).
