Ford Mustang Pt. 1, No Money, No Permission, Instant Success
11/15/20 • 24 min
Ford Mustang Pt. 1
In this episode I cover the first generation of the Ford Mustang, focusing on the underground development and lack of official approval for this car. Despite this, the Mustang would find instant success in the new market of young drivers looking for cheap, powerful, and customizable cars. Offering a wide variety of engine options as well as interior design choices, the Mustang would become an instant American staple. However, by the early 1970s, the Mustang had become a large car with even larger engines and was starting to drop in sales. The rest of the Mustang history will be covered in next week's episode, don't miss it!

Chevrolet Corvair, The American Car that Broke the American Mold
Chevrolet Corvair
In this episode, I cover the Chevrolet Corvair, a unique car created in 1960 to help meet the growing demand for compact cars. The Corvair broke many of the American car "rules" and was powered by a rear-mounted air-cooled flat 6 engine, the car also looked very European in its design. The Corvair would be produced for almost a decade and would sell very well, but would ultimately be killed by the more American cars of the Mustang and the Camaro.
