Hypnotherapy to treat asthma in children
12/08/22 • 62 min
This script was originally written by Dr. David Mason for a 10-year-old boy suffering from frequent asthma attacks. The script helped the boy believe in his magical powers and stopped his attacks by imagining himself in an exotic place (India) with the help of a snake charmer. In order to make the script more culturally inclusive, I edited it to apply to all children without gender specifications, including LGBTQQIP2SAA.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS SCRIPT IS MEANT TO BE LISTENED TO WHEN THE CHILD IS IN BED AND GOING TO SLEEP Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read on our channel. Nothing found on our channel is intended to be a substitute for professional psychological, psychiatric or medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. This recording is in no way a replacement for any prescribed medication; nor is it intended to contraindicate or supersede any medically diagnosed conditions.

CAUTION TO PARENTS.
If your child has any fears or phobias about snakes, please do not allow them to listen to this session.
In order to maximize the enjoyment of this download, here are a few tips:
1. This audio must not be listened to while driving a car or operating heavy machinery, even though it is designed for children.
2. Turn off all phones and ensure that your child is in a place where they will not be disturbed during the session.
3. If your child is uncomfortable for any reason and wants to stop listening, all they need to do is open their eyes and turn the session off.
4. You can allow your child to use earphones as long as they are comfortable doing so.
5. If your child is lying in bed or going to sleep, ensure their back is straight and supported.
We enter and exit hypnotic states every day, and hypnotherapy is a natural state. Similar to watching a great movie or reading a good book, it is a feeling of focused attention. At all times, hypnotherapy is self-hypnotherapy, meaning the listener is in control. Children's hypnotherapy should not be construed as medical advice or treatment but rather to facilitate positive growth.

Clinical Hypnotherapy for treatment of Asthma
A variety of factors can trigger Asthma attacks, including emotional stress, anxiety, and tension. Research has proven that Asthma can be treated with hypnosis by teaching clients how to calm themselves during an Asthma attack or using healing metaphors during the episode.
Researchers have found that negative emotions, such as panic and depression, can affect the respiratory system, causing Asthma attacks in those who suffer from the condition. In the event of a severe Asthma attack, stress and anxiety escalate quickly and make the condition even more severe.
In addition to lowering stress, which seems to be a common trigger for Asthma, hypnosis can also directly affect physical processes. In addition to improving immunity and anesthesia, hypnosis has a direct and beneficial effect on the body's functioning. People with Asthma have also reported benefiting from relaxation training.
