Stephen Cornish is the founder and Managing Director of Pentanet Limited, committed to the digitisation of Australia, starting with Perth. He is recognised as one of WA’s most successful young entrepreneurs, innovators, and future business leaders, receiving accolades such as Business News 40under40, CEO Magazine Executive of the Year Awards, and the Cambium Networks Global Connectivity Hero of the Year 2021. As a proud, lifelong, and lag-averse gamer, Stephen’s own need for high-speed internet was his driving factor in the creation of Pentanet’s market-leading fixed wireless network, now servicing over 17,000 subscribers in WA. After building the largest and fastest growing fixed wireless network in Perth and delivering on his initial vision for Pentanet, Stephen set his sights on diversifying the Company’s footprint through the development of innovative complementary services including neXus, Pentanet’s award-winning next generation wireless mesh network. In 2021, he was also responsible for negotiating a deal with global tech-giant NVIDIA to bring cloud gaming to Australia through GeForce NOW, which has since attracted over 400,000 members across Australia. Pentanet’s gaming business pillar, Stephen also sits on the Board of Canopus Networks, a future leader in AI for networking visibility. He is actively championing the digitisation of Perth as the next global hub for digital entertainment, combining high-performance connectivity, gaming, cloud technology, and esports to deliver a seamless blend of real-world and digital experiences.
