Astrology for the Soul

As I step into my power,

We can either fear or welcome the death/rebirth transformation symbolized by this week's (exact on Saturday) Sun conjunct Pluto on the threshold of Aquarius. Are you ready to step into your power, be genuinely authentic, and deal with the consequences that will result? Let's not forget that Aquarius liberates us from conventional norms, including judgments from external "authorities."

A metaphor might be that you are climbing up a mountain (perhaps Mt. Everest?), and your backpack is just too big and heavy (or maybe breaks a strap), and if you're going to make it to the top, you have to leave it with all your stuff, behind. What are ya gonna do? You can't take it with you! Gonna stay with your stuff or keep on truckin?

So this week offers us a chance to let go of whatever or whoever is not in alignment with our "future self." This can feel like we're "going it alone," losing what we've built up to support us, and/or feel like we're lightening our load, are freer than ever, and can now race to the top of our game!

I like Huey Lewis and the News' song this week: The Power of Love. "You don't need money, don't take fame. Don't need no credit card to ride this train. It's strong, and it's sudden, and it's cruel sometimes, but it might just save your life. That's the power of love (Spirit)."

Indeed, the aspects of this week, the new Moon/Pluto squaring the nodes/Chiron (Freedom and self-expression limited by external authorities), Mars trine Jupiter (Optimistic energy to DO IT!), and Venus/Ceres inconjunct Uranus (angst and nervous tension in relationships) point to a bit of tug of war between freedom and conforming. So, I feel the answer is to control ourselves, take responsibility, own our stuff, and nothing external will need to do it for us.

I’d like to hear how many of you can relate to what I discussed about crises. I know some crises cannot be avoided in life. Still, I like the idea that if we are doing our inner work and "dying" to our old selves and transforming our shadows, we are also reducing the number of external crises needed for our soul's evolutionary growth.

It's similar to saying that if you do your shadow work, you will project less of your shadow onto other people because you're into seeing it and working on it yourself. So if we all do our inner work, there won't be any further crises?! This also goes hand in hand with what JWG says: Pain is the result of resisting evolution. Hummmmm... Let's have some gain without pain this year!

Happy Full Moon in Leo! That lion likes action, and there is no shortage of that now. It’s a time to create, recreate, and express your glorious, beautiful Self. And you best get on with it ‘cuz she’s only in Leo for a couple more days before heading into Virgo. However, that doesn’t mean that anything will slow down any time soon.

As I mentioned in the report, both Mars squaring the North Node in Aries from Capricorn (both Cardinal, initiative signs) and Uranus turning direct point to the pace of life picking up speed. Most all planets will be in direct motion, as in MOVING FORWARD right into June. This is a time to make decisions, act, and change.

The challenge is dealing with the hesitancy symbolized by Chiron conjunct the North Node (for a couple more months) in Aries. This points to our need to overcome doubt, trust our instincts, and heal the wounds of unworthiness or the inner voices of guilt telling us that we simply won’t get what we want. It’s time to reprogram those voices! You can do this!
