Astrology for the Soul

When I experience conflict,

I can use it as a guide,

To check my moral compass,

And to dive deep down inside. ☉

Alright, as with everything around here, there's an upside and a downside. Let's look at the upside! Let's say that back on August 1, 2022, when Mars conjuncted Uranus at 18 Taurus, you got the message to make a big change, and you reinvented yourself in some way to further express your unique genius. Then, on May 8 of this year, when the Sun conjuncted Uranus (again at 18 Taurus), you opened your third eye, saw a new future for yourself, cut the shackles holding you to the past, and leaped into the unknown.

If that's the case, then in these next couple of weeks, you will bear the fruit of the seeds you planted back then and have been tending since! You will be presented with new opportunities, projects begun back then will get bumped up to the next level, and you will have exciting new people and surprises in your life to further assist you in bringing your personal brand of genius into form. Congratulations, and please continue to shine your light, innovate, and share!

Now, whether you sowed "appropriate" seeds and took advantage of the changes back at the conjunction, or you cowered back in fear and held on to the past, this week's new Moon in Scorpio is a time of letting go. You may be the one letting go of some position, something, or someone, or you may be the one let go. It never ceases to amaze me how "life can be so cruel," BUT we could say, "My unconscious soul that reincarnates over and over can be cruel to this temporary ego body." It's just amazing how much it can hurt around here sometimes. Our soul wears us out like just another pair of socks!

I am reminded that the source of all pain is the resistance to evolving, so if that is the case, we are one stubborn species! It also indicates that if we let go of everything no longer serving our evolution as fast as our soul(s) apparently wants us to (living a pain-free life), imagine how quickly we could evolve... Holy shamoley! We could be outta here in fewer lifetimes than I bet we're takin’!!

And that's a lot of letting go. And if you aren't letting go, then your unconscious soul will help you out, and you will be let go! So, that leads to the possibility of actually thanking those people, businesses, banks, and governments that "take away" from us... Oh boy, this is huge. Not quite ready to go there myself, but maybe some of you are. If so, give us your lessons, please!

Let’s welcome in the Solstice full Moon in Capricorn! Sun joining Venus/Mercury in Cancer says it’s all about what’s going inside that counts. Moon in Capricorn says it’s all about bringing order, structure, and commitment to the outside. Do we change the world or change ourselves? Are we here to serve others or grow and evolve within?

The answer is, BOTH! Gotta balance the outside with inside, the profession and the career, helping others with helping ourselves. The trouble is that our cultural conditioning has been and is lopsidedly focused on profession, giving to others, going to work, and doing what we’re told by external authorities that want us to PRODUCE. Time to take a step back and see just how balanced you are and whether you are giving your life away or not.

Are you spending as much time with yourself as you are with everybody else? Are you as committed to yourself as you are to the boss, family, or beloved? Are you as aware of your feelings as you are of your thoughts? If not, then expect some domestic strife to arise and show you where you are over or underdoing it. If you’re working too hard to the exclusion of a personal life, you’ll have family, domestic, and emotional problems. If you’re too into yourself, your feelings, security needs, and emotions, you’ll have a professional crisis to get your attention. The more balanced with personal and professional, the fewer personal or professional problems we’ll have! Check it out - it’s true!

We can either fear or welcome the death/rebirth transformation symbolized by this week's (exact on Saturday) Sun conjunct Pluto on the threshold of Aquarius. Are you ready to step into your power, be genuinely authentic, and deal with the consequences that will result? Let's not forget that Aquarius liberates us from conventional norms, including judgments from external "authorities."

A metaphor might be that you are climbing up a mountain (perhaps Mt. Everest?), and your backpack is just too big and heavy (or maybe breaks a strap), and if you're going to make it to the top, you have to leave it with all your stuff, behind. What are ya gonna do? You can't take it with you! Gonna stay with your stuff or keep on truckin?

So this week offers us a chance to let go of whatever or whoever is not in alignment with our "future self." This can feel like we're "going it alone," losing what we've built up to support us, and/or feel like we're lightening our load, are freer than ever, and can now race to the top of our game!

How's that for a Happy Valentine? Sorry! What can I say? Venus descending into the underworld is no walk through the park. However, it is intense, and we can feel very strong, intense emotions these days as so many things are shifting rapidly. We know that both Pluto and Aquarius have to do with leaving the old, no longer helpful energy behind, and this is often experienced as a loss when unconscious forces override our egoic needs.

As I say in the report, the lucky thing is that it is a fast-moving transit followed by a resurrection and an upcoming conjunction of Venus and Mars! Woohoo! What is more long-lasting is Chiron conjunct the north node of destiny. It is now our common human destiny (north node) to undergo a healing "crisis" around our Aries/Mars "Go get 'em, win, conquer, take the prize" energy.

What this can look like is just not getting what you want long enough to draw your attention inward to examine your wants and desires as to whether they are in alignment with your soul's desires or not. All in all, despite the Aquarius planets, this looks like a good week to lay low, go inward, contemplate, and discuss with Source just what needs to stay and what needs to go so you can consciously cooperate with Uranus and Pluto instead of getting shocked or surprised. Don't forget, you never lose what's really yours!

When in a crowded subway station,
With my train about to leave,
I calmly manage the situation,
And don't forget to breathe.

In today's report, I mentioned that Aquarius (high vibe) is non-attachment, while Aquarius (low vibe) is detachment. During these Aquarius transits, it may be tempting to "ghost" somebody or some organization, detach, and disappear. This is the association of Aquarius with trauma, as the desire to liberate can lead one to sudden, shocking, extreme actions that blow other people away.

However, the "high vibe" Aquarius is about stepping back/outside of a situation to get a broader, more enlightened view. This can be done with compassionate communication, heartfelt understanding, and concern for the other's well-being. This is reflected in the Sabian symbol for this week's Moon (feeling) Saturn (separate) Venus (in/out of relationship) conjunction. As we continually reach for ever higher expressions of ourselves, hopefully, and naturally, that will include an ever-expanding opening of our hearts. Blessings on your breaking up/through, and I hope to see you "on the other side!"
