
FMQ 420 Where Do I Start I Don't Know The First Step

This is not a goal-setting episode because if you don't know what to do first toward what you want it won't help.
Why is that Cloughie? Well, when we think we have no clue what to do or have too many what to do's we get overwhelmed and "Oh No! I'm procrastinating again!" and you're not and we all do it some time or other.
And there is a solution and guess what? It's both simple, we like simple, and it's easy as in not complicated.
If you don't know where you want to go there is no step to take and if it's not important to you then you probably won't want to start or finish.
So..... Obviously, you do need to know where you want to go or achieve and it has to be important to you - Your why.
Then what?

#366 Making Life Richer
Don't you think it's a shame when we're doing something like reading a book, or watching a film and you realize you can't remember what you read or what you watched? Where were you and what were you missing out? To me, that's simply a waste of the finite time we have on little ole planet Earth. And if you add that time up over the days, weeks, and years WOW! what a lot of time we waste.
What would it be like if we could break this pattern of foggy forgetfulness and become more aware of the present? And when you convert that time we used to waste - BOOM!
let's see, hear, and feel the richness of the life we live and notice how that expands into all the areas of our life because it will - As you will often hear me say "You will never know how far the ripples of change will go and they will"
From this, we can begin to pursue an even richer set of experiences and I know that's one reason for being here and the more interested you become the more interesting you are.

#367 Getting Better Every Day
For me, personal development is partly striving to be a better me every day, just a bit, bit by bit. This is both a long-term goal and the steps along the way to constantly be the best version of me to find the REAL ME.
And that's great but we need specificity (Don't you just love that word? :O)
Let's take a look at this thing I've termed 'Wheels and Spokes' and you will find it's a constant work in progress. Wheels are the different areas/contexts of your life and the spokes that make up the wheel. I'm sure I didn't coin this myself but the metaphor helps me. The thing is whilst you can't work on every area at once when you work on one other areas just tend to improve as well -Cool!
If we miss out on this specificity (love it) I think we can experience negative emotions such as anger, sadness, fear, anxiety, and even grief. So.............. we will dive into the HOW'S which is, to me, the thing so many don't do and I pride myself in sharing.
So without further ado, this is a podcast and not an article, let's press play and dive into this together.
