Feeling Like Your Sports Dream Is Out Of Reach

You've got a dream to be a professional athlete in your sport. Playing the sport you love! Living and breathing it. Being paid to do it. Training for it. Travelling the country amd the world competing. You have lots of fans and built a following of supporters plus you have the home you have always wanted and a really cool car to drive around in.
But how does that dream come true when it feels still so far away?
You are stuck where you are and you struggle to see yourself as that professional athlete because the reality is that you are just not there yet.
Should you stop dreaming?
Absolutely not, you must have that dream. But we have to turn it into something more than it just being in your head.
We need a map on how to get there. Like you have a map of driving from LA to New York or Sydney to Perth. You need to know what roads to take.
This is what you must do to map out your dream. We are going to start with the end in mind, work through 5 phases and work our way backwards.
PHASE 5 - LIVING YOUR SPORTS DREAM

How To Stay Motivated When The Hard Work Isn't Paying Off

How do you stay motivated if hard work is not paying off.
This is an incrediblly frustrating situation to be in. You work hard but you are still not seeing the results on the scoreboard.
What do you do?
- scream
- go and punch a puching bag
- pick fights with people because you are so frustrated
- get down on yourself
- doubts creep in
- constantly disappointed
- struggle with motivation
What do you do? GIVE UP????
NO!!!
If you are working hard and it's not paying off then it's time to Change Your Approach.
You have your goal, you are clear where you are headed but the current strategy or strategies are not as effective as they were once before.
The question then becomes...
Are the current strategies I am doing working for me? Are they getting me the results I am after?
If the answer is No! It's time to change the strategy.
PART 1 - EVALUATE
- Identify what is working - list the results you are getting.
- What are you doing to produce those results.
- Identify what is not working - list the mistakes, challenges and errors you are seeing.
- What are you doing that's causing the mistakes - what are the reasons?
PART 2 - IMPROVEMENT
- You have identified what is not working - how do you improve it? Write down everything that you need to do to improve it.

You hold the brush to paint the canvas of your life. You are the master architect of your destiny. So, dream boldly, envision vividly, and then take deliberate steps toward your goals. The universe conspires in your favor when you align your actions with your desires.
Inspired Action:
Let inspiration be your compass. When you act from a place of genuine desire, the journey becomes an adventure. It’s not about ticking boxes—it’s about dancing with purpose. So, pick up that pen and notepad; let’s script the next chapter of your life.
Grab your notepad and pen. Here’s a simple process to ignite your passion for the next three months:
Reflect:
Write down your achievements, lessons learned, and moments of joy from the past three months. Acknowledge your growth.
Visualize:
Close your eyes and imagine your life three months from now. What do you see? Feel it—the excitement, the fulfillment. Capture this vision on paper.

Break down your big dreams into actionable steps. What specific goals will propel you forward? Write them down, and have a simple plan in how to execute them.

How To Become Professional Sports Person - Part 2

What is needed to become a professional sports person that you dream of, what do you need to do? There is so much right?
In this episode you will see the essentials are laid out for you.
The focus here is 'The Plan You Will Need To Achieve Your Sports Goals'.
Step 1 - 2 Questions
- What is your big vision - your big ultimate sports goal?
- How long will it take you to get there? (be real).
Step 2 - The 5 Phase Vision
In this 5 Phase Vision we work backwards from your big ultimate sports goal (being Phase 5) back to where you are now in achieving your Phase 1 Vision (your first goal - it's the first stepping stone to your Ultimate Sports Goal.
Here's how you do it;
- Phase 5 Vision is ? (Your Ultimate Sports Goal)
- Phase 4 Vision is ? (Your goal before the Ultimate Sports Goal)
- Phase 3 Vision is ? (Your goal before Phase 4 goall)
- Phase 2 Vision is ? (Your goal before Phase 3 goal)
- Phase 1 Vision is ? (Your first goal that will lead you to Phase 2)
Step 3 - Your First Goal (Phase 1)
Listen to the episode to ensure you have your key elements in place, then answer these questions below;
- What is your Phase 1 Goal?
- What routines must you have in the morning?
- What routines must you have in the evening?
- What type of training must you do?
- What type of skill development must you be focused on?
- What type of training must you incorporate to perform under pressure?
- What type of system must you have in place to track and evaluate what you are doing?
Once you have answered all those questions...
You will need to plan out your Phase 1 Goal to get to Phase 2.
- What needs to be done on a weekly basis?
- What needs to be done on a daily basis?
Your plan doesn't have to be perfect, but you must begin working on it. Then you can make changes where needed along the way.
