
127: Showing Up For Yourself + Setting Energetic Boundaries, Part 1 (Replay)

Are you easily picking up on other people’s energy, almost porous? Do you you find it challenging to be around certain people or places, and want to know how to protect and love yourself while in those spaces?
I felt compelled to release this talk from my Insight Timer live as so many of us highly sensitives + empaths struggle with setting and maintaining healthy boundaries in our lives. Especially around this time of year, when family dynamics + people in our aura can be very triggering.
This episode (Part 1 of a 2 part series) will help you return home 🤍 to yourself and help you feel more safe and connected to be yourself. To speak up when someone is not respecting your boundaries, and how to show up for yourself when others are constantly demanding your time + energy.
In this solo series, I will discuss how to:
- Believe you have ownership of your own experience.
- Develop a strong sense of self.
- Decide what type of energy you will bring into the room, event, situation you’re going into.
- Set an energetic boundary around yourself.
- Be aware of what your body physically feels like in the moment + your nervous system response.
- Decide what you will/will not tolerate with a "tolerance tally".
- Practice this. Affirm to others what you are needing in this moment, and what you will no longer tolerate in your life.
