Lorna's Exit Story
In today's episode Lorna, a fellow This Naked Mind Sr. Certified Coach, and I share her story. Her ups and downs with attempting to exit the cycle as well as how she exited the cycle.
Listen in to this story because it will help you. You'll learn you aren't alone. You'll discover possibility and hope.
Lorna believes that each of us has a yearning to be fulfilled, a desire to feel safe and strong in the decisions we make, and a right to find a ‘clarity of purpose’ as we move through our lives. Through her own life experiences Lorna learned first-hand what alcohol can do to your body, mind and spirit.
For support exiting the cycle of drinking, over drink shame or regret reach out to either one of us.

The Key to Redefining Your Relationship with Alcohol
On this episode of Exit The Drinking Life Podcast, I’m questioning what you view as your drinking identity and whether it’s currently serving you. While many of us realize that we want alcohol to stop being so important to us, we fail to realize that the current drinking identity we harbor keeps us from attaining the freedom we desire.
Some of the topics and questions raised in this episode are:
- How does focusing on where you don’t want to be, rather than where you do want to be, impact the way you see yourself and approach your goals?
- Is taking your current identity into the future with you sabotaging your success?
- Recognizing the cycle of experimenting, acting out, igniting curiosity, and trusting yourself to achieve the ultimate goal: the exit.
- The importance of naming your current alcohol identity and questioning if you want to keep it.
I hope that this episode motivated you to really examine what your current drinking identity is and whether it’s something that can help prompt the permanent transformation that you seek. I believe that significant life changes come from applying the lessons you learn and discovering your own self-image, as you journey through your metamorphosis.
