Ep. 38 - WTF Is Toxic and Healthy Masculinity with Chris Marhefka
09/29/21 • 47 min
I’ve read countless books, listened to boatloads of podcasts, gone on retreats, joined groups, and trained and studied personal growth and development for years. And yet, there are still issues I struggle with today. One of the biggest challenges we face is conflicting information.
On this episode, you'll hear from Chris Marhefka, CEO and Facilitator at Training Camp for the Soul and the Founder and Facilitator of the Embodied Man Community and Retreats. He came into this healing work after over a decade in entrepreneurship and coaching. Having done countless programs and reading hundreds of personal development books, Chris kept running into the same challenges showing up in his life. It wasn’t until he found Training Camp for the Soul and did the program for himself that he was able to truly transform his life by going deeper.
The healing work Chris focuses on is a combination of breath, somatics, energy work, story work, inner-child work, mindset, and other modalities to get deeper into the subconscious and heal at the root.

Ep. 39 - WTF Does 80s Pop Culture Teach Us About Today's Workplace & Life with Chris Clews
My teenage years were filled with memories of John Hughes movies, MTV videos (back when it was videos all day), Culture Club and Duran Duran, and Benetton sweaters.
My guest today grew up in that same era and was able to turn his love of 80s pop culture and expertise in corporate marketing into a new writing and speaking career. Chis Clews, author of the book series “What 80s Pop Culture Teaches Us About Today’s Workplace” is filled with business lessons learned from the greatest movies that defined our generation.
Chris and I recently talked about how those business lessons also apply to our personal growth journey, so I invited him to come talk about it on our show.
