Remembering Why I Started
ADHD Diversified

It's Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month in The U.S. and it's Asian Heritage Month in Canada! It's also Mental Health Awareness Month, so in this episode, I recall the reasons behind starting this podcast and what bringing awareness means to me.

Thoughts on Goal-Setting and Failure
ADHD Diversified
11/01/22 • 16 min
On this episode, I go through some verbal processing about goals, failure, and reframing failure. These seem to be recurring themes for me this year, so why not keep processing it? I hope this is helpful for anyone who listens, too!

Doing the Best We Can (Right Now)
ADHD Diversified
10/05/22 • 10 min
One of the "lovely" traits of ADHD is that we tend to be good at being consistently inconsistent. (In this case, I'll speak for myself.) We have our ups and downs, life can be predictably unpredictable, and getting stuck in a slump seems to be one of my specialties.
In this episode, I hope you are reminded that no matter where you are or what you're doing, whether you're feeling unmotivated, directionless, or drained, whatever it is you're feeling - it doesn't make you weak.
Thanks for tuning in, and don't forget to take care of you - because you matter too.

Remembering My Wins
ADHD Diversified
07/25/22 • 14 min
Over a month ago, I proposed a challenge: From May 27th until June 30th, 2022, I was going to journal and list three wins every single day.
Did I manage to write three wins every day? Did you join me in this challenge?
In this episode, I reflect on the lessons learned behind attempting this challenge, my emotional state working through this while I was sick, and why I believe writing down a win every once in a while is useful.
This exercise was inspired by one of the exercises we do in ADHD reWired's Coaching & Accountability Groups at CoachingreWired.com!

Thoughts on Learning
ADHD Diversified
07/11/22 • 15 min
We all have different ways of learning and have all taken different paths to get to where we are today. In our uniqueness, we've developed different skills and talents, we've acquired different tools and have our own areas of genius and knowledge.
I share my thoughts about our unique ways of learning, our unique ways of applying ourselves, and why the tools we use (and how we utilize them) may not be useful for everyone.

Not Struggling Alone
ADHD Diversified
06/23/22 • 17 min
First it was allergies. Then, I got sick. So I didn't record anything for a while. Even though I was still sick at the time of this recording and posting, I decided to talk about it. In this episode, I talk about the emotions, old stories, and struggles that came up for me when I was at my sickest, then I decided to talk about how I'm continuing to make it through and why I keep going.

Acknowledging Our Successes
ADHD Diversified
05/27/22 • 15 min
Historically, I've been quick to look at my failures instead of acknowledging my successes. For me, my ADHD has had me fall down a lot, and I sometimes (ok - often) forget that I've gotten back up more times I've tumbled over.
I also find it difficult accepting others' acknowledgements of the things I've achieved because my beliefs and feelings around personal success and failure used to be rooted in binary thinking. Even though it's getting easier now, it's still difficult for me to look for wins in challenging situations, and sometimes it's still challenging to count a "good" day as a win vs. thinking it was a fluke.
If you've ever felt the same way, then I invite you to join me for a challenge I'm proposing for June: from May 27 until June 30, 2022 - - I am going to journal and list three wins I've had every single day. My hope from trying this experiment is to rewire - however slow it may be - my cognitive distortions about my own wins and failures, and hopefully make it easier for me to acknowledge the little wins that happen every day.
This exercise was inspired by one of the exercises we do in ADHD reWired's Coaching & Accountability Groups at CoachingreWired.com!

Representation Matters
ADHD Diversified
05/13/22 • 14 min
It's the 2nd week of may, which means we're continuing with Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month in The U.S. and Asian Heritage Month in Canada!
In this episode, I talk about what representation means to me within the sphere of mental health, within the Asian community, in the ADHD community, and why it's important that under-represented communities need to be heard.
& I'm calling all my Asian friends with ADHD from around the world - - let's talk! Send me an email and get in touch: [email protected]

Wrestling Resting
ADHD Diversified
07/22/22 • 21 min
I'm finally getting momentum with my podcast again and am mostly recovered from being sick. On this episode, I address the guilt I've felt when resting or engaging in self-care, the rejection of self, and how that mindset was adopted.
If you need to get some rest or start engaging in more self-care activities, I hope this episode inspires you to do that. Self-care is not selfish, and your self-care matters!
