I would say Sarah and I laughed more than we talked, but I re-listened!... and we definitely talked about a lot! We clearly just had a great time doing it!
In this episode, you’ll learn the importance of “disrupting yourself,” how successful people are usually just the most stubborn, and what you can control in the midst of all this chaos.
And my biggest takeaway?... “We see other people’s end points, and we think that’s what it’s like on day one.”
How many times do I do this? Way too many. Is it just me or can you relate to that statement too?
We also talked about how trial and error is a fantastic tool. Sarah mentioned, “now is the best time for non-fatal trial and error.” Such an interesting conversation!
And how about this?... When unbelief hits (You know. That battle between our ears,) maybe that’s the time to step into what it is God has called you to do.
What an incredible way to end this first season! Truly incredible.

Episode 21: Demystifying Sales Through Serving with Sarah Sloyan: Part 1
Do you want the backstory?... Of course you do. It’s fun!
Several months ago at the beginning of the summer, right as I was about to launch the podcast (which was a complete fog by the way,) I heard Sarah on another podcast. I loved everything she had to say. She blew me away!
Without thinking, I found her on LinkedIn. I was in the middle of creating an account of my own (also in a fog- not knowing much of anything about the networking site,) and I just had the audacity to directly message her about the podcast and ask if she’d consider being a guest. I honestly don’t even remember paying attention to her profile.
Months later, after a few calls and several emails, (and more by sheer luck than by design) I managed to get myself vetted through the Ramsey Solutions Corporation and schedule a LIVE interview with her in Nashville!
How cool is that?? I was thrilled as I watched it come together, but it wasn’t until a few people looked at me in shock and asked, “How on earth did you pull that off???”
My response, “I asked. What would it hurt if she said ‘no’?”
Now, this episode is about sales, and women, and all the ways we get in our own heads. But I want you to think about something... What is lying just outside your reach that could be possible if you just asked?
