A Storied Table
Amy Kathleen Smith
Life is a lot, and (God love ‘em) kids add an extra level of crazy. You never stop, and every ding from your phone tends to induce some level of anxiety, whether it’s another negative notification from the news, or a text from the groomer that you forgot to pick up the dog... again.
Goodness gracious! It's like you're juggling more than actually living, and you’re left wondering where the heck all your joy went.
As much as you want to some days, you know you can’t throw in the towel.
Come sit, take a break, and hang out. Let’s get you in a better headspace and re-light that fire in your soul.
Let’s have some fun and help you find the joy in everyday life again.
Welcome to a storied table. I’m so glad you’re here.

Gather25 | The Greatest Story You Can't Put Down
A Storied Table

Text me! Tell me something good!
Imagine... Every continent. Every Denomination. Together across 25 hours on March 1, 2025.
As I sat there listening to Jennie Allen and ALL the passion flowing out of her, I wished you could have been there with me. I knew I could tell you about it, but there was no chance I could fully share about Gather25 in the same compelling way Jennie does.
I am so excited to be able to share these clips with you so you can hear straight from the visionary herself. Enjoy!

Episode 22: Sarah Sloyan: Part 2 - How are you supposed to get good if you don’t start?
A Storied Table
11/05/20 • 37 min
Text me! Tell me something good!
I would say Sarah and I laughed more than we talked, but I re-listened!... and we definitely talked about a lot! We clearly just had a great time doing it!
In this episode, you’ll learn the importance of “disrupting yourself,” how successful people are usually just the most stubborn, and what you can control in the midst of all this chaos.
And my biggest takeaway?... “We see other people’s end points, and we think that’s what it’s like on day one.”
How many times do I do this? Way too many. Is it just me or can you relate to that statement too?
We also talked about how trial and error is a fantastic tool. Sarah mentioned, “now is the best time for non-fatal trial and error.” Such an interesting conversation!
And how about this?... When unbelief hits (You know. That battle between our ears,) maybe that’s the time to step into what it is God has called you to do.
What an incredible way to end this first season! Truly incredible.
Please stay tuned at the end for a special message from me. It’s not lost on me that we are ending in November - in a season of gratitude and gratefulness.

Text me! Tell me something good!
“It’s too late to be uncomfortable talking about sex & sexual abuse.” This quote is from a contributor on the promotional video for Super Hero Kids 2020.
DISCLAIMER: We are talking about a real and raw story right off the bat. It’s something you may or may not want young ears to hear before you have time time to hear it first.
***If you have not watched it already, I strongly recommend you pause now, and go watch it first. I promise it will help you understand this conversation more. Here’s the link... https://vimeo.com/449970815 (password if needed: SHK)
I cannot begin to tell you just how incredibly uncomfortable I was talking about this topic. Thank goodness my good friend, Chris Denton, pushed me.
She pushed me to get past the “ick” I felt when talking about it. She encouraged me to understand it more, and I am so thankful she did.
That ick feeling has now turned into an urge to help spread the word and for more parents, caretakers, and schools to know about Super Hero Kids and their mission to: fund evidence-based programs to teach students, grades pre-K - 12 action-based skills to prevent the trauma of sexual assault. Students learn how to "Get away and tell!" and age-appropriate life-long personal safety skills.

#50 Different is Beautiful
A Storied Table
10/13/22 • 55 min
Text me! Tell me something good!
Did I ever think my 50th episode would be a conversation about boobs? I did not. But, is it fantastic? YES. IT. IS!!!
I love this podcast. I love the women I get to meet, and I love helping share their stories.
But this episode, it hits me in a different way. There is so much significance for women, female founders, breast disease, female entrepreneurship, love of diversity and acceptance, women empowering women, love of fashion, and for the love... HUMOR - because you’ve got to have humor in this crazy world!
I want you to listen... but then I’m asking you to SHARE this episode. Women need to hear the inspiring and uplifting messages in this interview.
Dana Donofree (@daynadono) is a strong female leader, an encourager, and a force of all things great for women.
I’m so thankful to have the opportunity to share Dana and @anaonointimates with you!

A Storied Table
08/25/23 • 11 min
Text me! Tell me something good!
The problem with entrepreneurship is that we feel like we have to do everything ourselves. But do we? Or is that just a trap we fall in to?
We have to be proactive, defensive even, to avoid that trap we are all guilty of. Being a mom and a business owner (while also wearing about 15+ other hats on a daily basis) is hard enough!
Listen to learn how you can dodge that trap and get the relief that comes from finding your people.
Talk soon!
