Mini Series - JP Martinez - Major League Pitching Coach of the San Francisco Giants
12/30/24 • 32 min
Episode 6- The mini-series "The Art of Something" comes to a finish with my good friend Jp Martinez.
It's hard to put into words what this guy means to me. I first met Jp on a phone call near the end of 2020. I was anticipating a role with the San Francisco Giants; he was the assistant pitching coach then. I believe he thought we were having a short introduction, whereas I was under the impression we were having an interview.
Needless to say, he asked me about a specific certification I had on my resume. I had no idea what the certification was, and my heart started to beat so quickly that I figured I just needed to tell him the truth. I told him to disregard it and told him I didn't know what it was (I did pass the test for the certification, just so you know). He genuinely laughed, and it was at that moment that I knew I would love the guy. Over the next four years, he would become my big brother and a man I grew deep reverence for.
We spent every day of spring training meditating during sunrise from 2021 to 2024. In those moments, I got to experience this man's depth and wisdom. He is calm yet tenacious. Patient but competitive. His ability to listen is second to none, but what stands about above all within his leadership is that he cares. He has since become the head pitching coach for the San Francisco Giants and will lead their staff during the 2025 campaign. A forever student, sit back and enjoy my conversation with Mr. Miyagi of coaching, Mr. Jp Martinez.

Mini Series - Alex Easby - Performance and Breathwork Coach Working with Impact Founders and CEOs
Episode 5 of the Mini-Series on The Art of Something is with my friend Alex Easby. I can't actually recall the moment I was introduced to Alex. I know it was a few years ago from a mutual friend I believe, but I can't give you the moment. To my memory, it was a classic situation where someone I knew wanted me to meet someone they knew. Either way, I ended up going on a podcast with him, and it was that incredible feeling where you felt at home communicating with a stranger. Alex has a soothing way of communicating about him and an openness that has always intrigued me. He is a master of his craft and shows tremendous care in his work. These traits were clearly evident to me when I first spoke to him and my admiration towards his pursuit has remained high ever since. When I had a window to interview a few people in the fall of 2023, Alex was the first to come to mind. I reached out to see his interest, and we immediately popped on for a podcast. As you will hear, he had been traveling and experiencing life. He shares wonderful stories and has such a unique way of articulating his perspective. It was an honor to record another show with Alex and I'm grateful we've sustained our friendship over the years. Enjoy my friends. One Love Harv
